Turn them over to the State to finish raising....I know you won't because my reading of you is, you are a good Mom, but if they are that far gone, maybe that is the only choice left...You are entitled to a little something more in life than a couple of ungrateful kids....

Joe Kennedy had his daughter get a frontal lobotomy, because she was a problem. She was very docile after that.

Why not Teddy???
To: null and void
Good question. Would have spared us all if he had done that to Teddy instead of his daughter.

I often think we've slid too far down the slope of socialism to crawl back up to liberty. Too many people are getting too many government goodies, and will vote for the politicians who will hand out largess from the treasury. Liberty is frightening to them. Taking responsibility for their own lives is too much to ask of them, apparently.
*sigh*
Other than that, things are great!
Amen.
Cheers all.

You've got that right... The "Give Me's" are getting to be too many, and we are being buried from within..just like good old Krushev predicted so long ago..
We can keep on fighting, like Mo says, but the number of fighters are getting smaller and smaller..and getting swallowed up more and more every day..

'Morning, Gran. I shouldn't bring this stuff over here. I'll knock if off. Just venting a little, but I don't want to bring everyone else down. And, like I said, other than "that", everything is great.
Been working on the house and yard, and slowly getting things shaped up. It's a work in progress, of course.

We are doing the same here.. Most of the work is outside tho.. New sprinklers, new lawn, but inside some new windows..
A nice new window is going to be installed over my sink, so I can finally open it myself, and a new picture window on the sunporch along with a new slider.. Wish we had done it the first of summer, but it's nice to get it all done anyway.. You get to it when you can.. ;)

I've got to paint two of the 2 1/2 bathrooms, they need it. We've also got to paint and caulk the outdoor trim around the windows and doors - looks terrible right now. The previous owners weren't really big on upkeep! I've had my landscape mtc. company start on the front yard, tearing out all of the nasty shrubs, and we're redesigning it. It'll look every so much better!
I still need to remodel the kitchen, but won't get to it until next year. The floor covering needs to be replaced, and I'm taking out the electric cook top, built-in oven and microwave, and replacing them with a gas range and flash oven. I'm also going to replace the tile counter tops with, I don't know yet.

LOL.. speaking of kitchens and food.. We finished the Blueberry Pie the other day, so I just made a Blueberry Cake. It makes one feel better to bake and cook, and you can sample this cake while it's still warm..;)
I have a lot of painting I'd like to get done in here too. Have you considered at least one kitchen counter in Granite? It's a wonderful thing..but a bit expensive..

A flash oven is a fancy-schmancy oven that cooks with either microwave or light. When you're using the light mode, it will cooks meats, browning them like a regular oven, but is very fast. It's about the size of a smaller microwave, and will mount over the stove, like a built in.

MMMMM. That looks good.
Yes, I've thought about granite. It is expensive, so I haven't decided for sure yet.

Venting among friends is not a bad thing: it seems that most all of us are on the same page in our perception of the direction our country's headed.

My brother and sil have the GE Advantium oven and LOVE it. Like the granite counter-tops, it's a tad pricey, but evidently worth it after you recover from the sticker-shock.

Ohh... I see... You'd think I'd know these things as I'm forever buying appliances it seems..
I seem to buy ovens by size...the bigger the better..;) Even tho it's mostly just the two of us, I have never learned to cook for two...yet.
