We found a rattler. Mike Pierd crushed it with the tip of one of his crutches.

End of problem, sort of...

I am.
She's also got a thing for having pet mice.
Not sure why, but she says mice are cute.
(That, and they ride in shirt pockets quite well, especially when they poke thier heads out and look at people.. usually freaking someone out in the process.)

She's quite a character, my sis.
I still like her telling the teacher to stop screaming because it's only a snake.
The guy screamed louder.

Too bad she doesn't have a cleavage for the mouse to ride and hide in...

She's mentioned that.
Sometimes I wonder about sis.
Next thing I know, she's going to be a Gothic Icon somewhere and ruling over some devoted masses.

If "some" of our Dregs and Flakes, and (mouse lovers) need therapy..there is help online.

My daughter just got her website up and running. If you need her, check it out..lol.

If you don't.. check it out anyway out of curiosity. I think she did a pretty good job, but I am prejudiced.. I am praying she does well... ;)

Oh Chylde, I had lots of pet mice and RATS when I was younger.. I think they're cute too, and rats are sooo smart..

I always wanted a rat named Nicodemus.
Ended up with a mouse of that name with the softest black fur.
Yes, a pocket mouse as well, he ended up being a Methuselah of his kind. (3 years or so, mice generally only live 1 year or less.)

I can remember when I was young feeding the wild mice in my girlfriends kitchen at midnight..

We used to sneak out of bed in the dark and go down there and put a small light on and feed them crackers, etc. After that we loved mice.. and she bought a white on and I bought a black one. I can't remember their names now, but they were so cute.

Then later I got a couple white rats. My SIL had a white rat that was soo smart. It did everything she taught it to do, and ran loose around the house.. He was so intelligent, and listened to everything she said. He was more like a little dog than a rat.

Later I had Parakeet that was really smart, but that is another story..;)

Was out camping, and a black field mouse (Color morph rarity) was under our camping platform. We fed his cheetos and such, which he sat and ate slowly. He then washed his whiskers and begged for more. We gave him some potato roll hot dog bun bits and some more cheetos which he stashed is his little hole where he sat and watched us go about our business.

We had a parakeet that was too smart, he got his cage door open and became cat lunch. After that we has slide hooks (leash hooks) to hold the doors shut. The next parakeet had some mad infatuation with my cat at the time and would literally scream her name whenever he saw her.
She died, and so did he not too long afterwards.

What is that little thing called..? Not a mouse, not a Mole..but a very little mouse-like thing? We had one in the house up in the Mountains. It was the cutest little thing.. Used to come out looking for food.. I swear it wasn't more than an inch long. I think it died when we went home and closed for the winter.. Poor thing..

I used to know it's name, but it's lost now..

My Parakeet, Chipper, used to pull the bobby-pins out of my hair when I was making pin-curls.. He loved to ride in little cars and trucks around the house.. He used to wait on the top of our back door, while chucky the Cocker sat by it.. and wait for my Dad to come home from work every night..

He was a funny bird and talked up a storm. Only one we ever had that was so smart. It's hit or miss with Parakeets I think.. ;)

Oh.. and my Canary died of a broken heart I think. She kept laying eggs, and of course they never hatched.. Did you know that birds like Canarys lay eggs even without a mate? I never did.. Poor thing, I think laying all those infertile eggs wore her out.. ;)

Vole?
Voles and shrews are mouse like.
This one was a field mouse, the larger head and bug eyes gave him away.
That, and he wasn't completely black, he had a lighter underside.

Had a parakeet named Chipper too, I was very young when we had him, so I don't remember much abut him.
The one I remember the most is Lasitter (As in the cat burglar from the Tom Selleck movie) Well, Lasitter would climb the side of the cage, climb across the ceiling of said cage upside down, and then descend the other side.
He also liked to hang upside down from his swing and bb his head to make the swing move.

Flutter, the last 'keet we had, was te one who called my cat.
He also had something for looking at his mirror and then looking at you in rapid succession. Then he'd bob his head up & down and make laugh noises.

A more demented bird was never seen.
