That's one of the many reasons why I support our military.
Not a one of them is in because of the draft.
Each man and woman today decided to serve our country.

Exactly! There may be an odd one or two who thought they were just getting a free education, and never thought through what they were doing and don't really want to be there, but the vast majority are there because they love their country, and want to serve.

How proud you must be of Eric. I will add my prayers that Eric stays safe.

While all of our marvelous military are in my prayers each day, Eric is at the very tip top of my list. May our blessed Lord keep him safe.

Your son left as a boy and will return as a man. He is in my prayers every morning and I know that he dwells in the secret place of the Most High God. Please let him know that we are grateful for his service. May God give you and your husband strength as you wait in faith.

Actually, az, it has been very cathartic to write it. I've reread it a bunch of times myself, because I can relive some of those moments more vividly since I put them down on paper.
