Texas is so big I guess the weather is different in different parts of the state! Almost every night there is a nice breeze in the evenings in San Antonio.

Just a note to thank you again for this great idea for a thread. I'm delighted to see that you've already received so many responses!

I can't advise you on Texas other than to tell you about a friend who lives here in Massachusetts. His wife decided to leave him after 15 years and move near her parents who had retired to Texas. The next thing we knew, in a very short space of time, she already had found a job in her profession and bought herself a trailer. Now she's remarried to Mr. Right and she doesn't live in the trailer any more. Sounds like she did OK for herself.

As for me, meanwhile, I'm still trying to decide between accepting offers of relocation help from either my cousins who moved to Louisiana...see this thread:
