Oooh. Beautiful photo, Val. I can't tell what the flower is, but it looks to be in the Asceplias family. Probably something that doesn't grow in California.

Marines in Baghdad were trying to find some chainsaws to cut back some trees on one of Saddams Palaces, that were messing with their vehicle antenaes. They looked in the outbuildings and noticed a false wall.
They found $325 Million in US Cash behind the wall. Just something Saddam left behind.
Why don't I find stuff like that when I clean my garage?

Excellent question Nully...here's as good an explanation as I could steal:
From the earliest times the Christians kept every Friday as a feast day; and the obvious reasons for those usages explain why Easter is the Sunday par excellence, and why the Friday which marks the anniversary of Christ's death came to be called the Great or the Holy or the Good Friday. The origin of the term Good is not clear. Some say it is from "God's Friday" (Gottes Freitag); others maintain that it is from the German Gute Freitag, and not specially English. Sometimes, too, the day was called Long Friday by the Anglo-Saxons; so today in Denmark.
I don't think anyone really knows the origin of Good Friday.
To: Mo1
I don't know what you are talking about - guess I haven't seen any Uncle Bill pictures. Probably a good thing to avoid.
