Dubya is on TV, visiting Good Ole Zell Miller in Georgia, speaking about his econimic plan.
Remember a couple of weeks ago when Rush had a fit because CNN was showing the president giving an economics speech and their trailer at the bottom of the screen said "It's rhe economy...AGAIN!"?
Well, guess what their trailer says today...AGAIN! Yep, same ole play on Georgie SyuffaLotofUs's campaign theme for the toon. Sic 'em, Rush!

Who said anything about pure as the driven snow????She said she tried her hand at modeling at one point. I guess the media is trying to dig up dirt on her because she came across so well as being a decent, kind human being.

I think FOX is leaking this to add to the 'reunion' ratings Monday night.

I saw Dole....he's about 20 years younger than he was in '96.
He was very funny. But he was really pulling his punches...said Hillary was doing a great job, MR. Clinton did a lot of good things for the country and history will be kind to him. Asked to grade Dubya, he gave him a half-hearted B+.

Aw, this is a shame. Oh well, he can go to London (in the guise of visiting Chelsea) for good Indian food, but I wonder if he'll still get paid?
NEW YORK -- Former President Bill Clinton has canceled a trip to India scheduled for this month because of security concerns, his press office said Thursday. "At the request of the United States Secret Service, a visit to India by former President Bill Clinton has been canceled due to serious security concerns," the office said in a statement. "President Clinton hopes to reschedule the trip as soon as possible." The trip was canceled because of a general threat to Americans in India, not a specific threat to Clinton, an unidentified source told the Daily News, which first reported the story. AP

Alistair Cooke, who lived in pre-WWII England while Neville Chamberlain busily appeased the Nazis, has written a piece comparing present day Hussein appeasers to those of 1938.

Little Miss G best hope she does not meet uday hussein.Isn't that the truth?! To say something as stupid as you want to seduce Saddam on a date confuses me to no end. Do these fools not read at all?

That video was on Brit's show last night. Too, too funny. I heard Mark Levin yesterday say that about 10 million people participated in the protests. Big deal, 30 million watched Joe Millionaire Tuesday night.
Saw this on Brit's show too, thought it was most interesting.
Seems our favorite CESM, Dominique de Villepin wrote a book praising Napoleon. Here's the excerpt that Brit showed.
And yet this defeat shines with an aura worthy of victory. The final opus of the unfinished symphony of the greatest military composer ever, it only just failed to turn to Frances advantage. He adds: This Napoleon . . . has carried, ever since his fall, a certain idea of France, a superior vision of politics.
Found that in an article that gives some insight into Dom.
Critics in Paris say that he is a gambler who never knows when to cut his losses. Some say that he is so deeply ensconced in Napoleonic legend that he has lost touch with reality. They are worried that he will inflict irrevocable damage on transatlantic relations. Full story

Did you two happen to catch Helen Thomas on Donahue? Oh my it was hysterical.

I think it's a good thing for kids to have to work to pay for the increased costs associated with their driving the family rig. More kids are messed up by having everything handed to them, gratis, than were ever harmed by having to learn early on the value of working for their priviledges.
Good luck with it.

Helen apparently sometime last week said GWB was the worst president ever. When I saw the headline on FR I thought, so what else is new and didn't bother to click on it. Well...... seems Miss Helen didn't write this statement, she said it to another reporter and he printed it. She appeared to be unhappy that she was outed. (Looking forward to that next presidential news conf.!) According to Helen she was conversing with this person at some luncheon thing and he had her book, was gushing all over her and asked her to sign it adding he had never asked anyone for an autograph before. So she thought... then shrugged at Phil. Ahahaha! Helen was set up!
I'll check back at that link for the transcript, she said some really loopy stuff.
