The wifey and I went to a birthday party last night. There is a very big Expat community down here, because there are six observatories in the area. The whole place was filled with research astronomers, physicists and other asorted rabble from all over the world. My wife is involved the the wimin's organization and does a lot of stuff with the other ladies. When introduced during the evening, several times people said..."oh, you're the Conservatives." Geez, classified with a scarlet "C" on my forehead. What weird, strange people liberals are.

Sounds like a Manx...you have never owned a cat until you have a Manx...they are very neat cats. The last one we had in Idaho was raised with our Rottie pup...the two were inseparable.

They don't care...they are basically anti-American. I try to avoid any discussions about what's going on...except for a few snide remarks about what a-holes the rest of the world is.

It's very strange...a lot of expats go to foreign assignments and absolutely go native.

We met some very cool Brits and ex-pats on our fall vacation.

All of them were very pro-American and pro-free enterprise. I know there are groups of ex-pats that think we are the worst thing since Limurgher cheese....we, fortunately, ran into the good crowd.

I think we should start a letter writing campaign urging them (the French) to follow their consciences.....
