Yesterday on Hume's show....Charles Krauthammer made a very insightful comment.

He said when the Oklahoma (bombing) Memorial took place, and X-42 spoke, he used ..I....many times...(Krauthammer counted them)...and also used Hillary & I....even more times.

He said it was all about HIM. (surprise)

But Bush is innately humble, and it's NEVER about him....but about the circumstance.

I was quite impressed!

I was happy to know that someone besides Howlin and myself counted those "I's!"

Every time X-42 is quoted, or writes an article, either Howlin or I count them!

I wonder if Krauthammer got the idea here? LOL!

That's exactly what got me thinking about it (as I have many times before; it just hit me harder this time).....
The powerfully consoling, healing, and encouraging words from this great President Bush......words that were spoken with such a genuine and true spirit that, I dare say, immediately started this country's grieving soul on the long road of recovery from this unthinkable tragedy.

Another thought that came to mind was that these 2 shuttle tragedies occurred when there was a President in Office that was inspired by God and capable of handling the awesome task of leading this nation and the aerospace industry down the long road of recovery.

My heart is very heavy this morning. My DirectTV dish has left the mortal plain. It passed away about 4 minutes before Brit Hume came on last night. Attempts to resuscitate it(playing with cables, checking the dish, playing with card, banging on the receiver box, and cursing it out) failed, and death was officially pronounced at 5:23 PM CST.

I forgot to say the Air Force colonel who is presenting our Bible Study (he's also an elder in our church)...is flying out today for a private memorial service for Col.Husband.

He and Husband became friends years ago when both were test pilots.

Here's the only time the President said "I" in his speech yesterday...

"The final days of their own lives were spent looking down upon this Earth. And now, on every continent, in every land they could see, the names of these astronauts are known and remembered. Throught the Bible, one of the HIGHEST qualities honored by God is humility, and this President genuinely exhibits it so well.

The one who only inhabited the White House was EVERYTHING BUT humble. He may well be the most selfish 'human being' to occupy the White House in modern times.

Re: Your DirectTV Dish. Might be the transponders. I truly have no earthly idea what they are, but hubby had to climb up and replace one when about half the channels didn't work (the half with FoxNews of course). Now the other half (the half with MessNBC and CSPAN1) is starting to act flakey.

ANYWAY, I hope you'll be able to ressurect yours!

The ONLY time he used 'I' was in respect towards them.

Maybe it's hard to fathom 2/3rds, but I believe some people in the media, etc. are finally waking up to X-42's selfishness because there's SUCH a contrast between him and President Bush.
Bush is genuine and people can't help but recognize this.

Early on in this administration, pundits would say that the White House was making a conscious effort to differentiate itself from the previous occupants. As for the CIC himself, I don't think he even has to try to be different from that...that..."other guy." He is himself - genuine - and that's why the difference is so evident.
