You are so correct, Utah Girl.

Unfortunately X42 will be the full hour (Reagan's birthday) guest on Larry King Live this evening.

For anyone wishing to immediately feel more thin, quickly book a round-trip ticket to DesMoines (DSM), walk around the terminal for a few minutes, and then take the next plane home.

EXCUSE ME?

OK, I'm steamed. I just saw that idiot Chuck Hagel on tv criticizing Colin Powell and the Administration's foreign policy plan - accusing them of having no plan for the majority of countries in the world and for dropping the ball in Israel, North Korea, etc. Dick Lugar, that smarmy little dork, was in on this along with Barbara Boxer -- some company, huh?

So I just sent dear Chuck the following email:

Dear Senator Hagel (R, FRANCE):

I just saw a television clip of you accusing the Administration, and Secretary Powell, directly, of an incomplete foreign policy agenda and plan.

When was the last time you were in a Cabinet meeting? An NSC meeting? How often should we expect that your committee is briefed on the intricacies of our country's foreign policy? I would assume no more or less than what is normal to keep your committee up to speed.

Having listened to the comments made today by you and your cohorts (Ms. Boxer was particularly insolent today - do you two get together and console each other?) I'm convinced that your committee is little more than a giant space-occupying lesion. In the medical field, we have the common sense to remove those.

When you become a Cabinet member, or head of the NSC, or National Security Advisor (what, of France?) I'll lend my ear your direction.

Until then, shut up.

I hope you have as miserable a day as you deserve.

Warmly,

my name

PS: I plan on financially supporting any conservative Republican who runs against you. I may not live in your state, but my money's sure good there.

Well, gee, E. I have been deprived of in depth news today, so I missed that one. I am still on the road, and seldom have access to TV except about the time Greta comes on to FNC at night,,, by that time, the news of the day has been digested by the 1st string, and I'm left out in the cold.

If he annoyed you, he must have been rather crude. I know you to be a gentle soul, not prone to violence.

Ooopsie - dang Gran, I thought your machine was still broken...or are you in a "monitor" and chastise mode?

Besides, we have had BWB's report from FL that you are a certifiable Hottie. (Even though you would kill to have that 20-something's tummy.)

No scooting in the woolies prior to touching your mouse, or much else.

I finally realized that General Powell is pointing his finger in the splash, just like one would point a pistol.

Good job Colin!

I have access to a variety of computers in a number of different places. I am home from my week long road trip, now, and am back in the land of lame monitors. Perhaps by next weekend I will have a new one.

Did y'all see the latest Rummy clip on Fox tonight? He's got the Germans all riled up again...and he's loving every minute of it!

In a congressional hearing yesterday, Rummy was asked which countries weren't with us in the Iraq situation. He said:

"There are 3 or 4 countries which have said they won't do anything to help...Libya, Cuba and Germany."

Lumping Germany in with those two! Now the Germans have their panties all in a knot. I love this guy!

I met Iowa Granny when we were both in DC. She is a certifiable "hottie." She in no way approximates the folks mentioned above in the Des Moines airport. Lodwick, you bad boy, you're just tweakin' gran.

Oh yes, Lugar is a Republican - that's what makes his chiding particularly irritating. Nothing like handing your enemy a loaded gun and then asking him to shoot you.

The democrats (Boxer, Dodd and other "usual suspects" who were totally out of line with their comments) are clearly playing politics with very serious diplomatic issues. It is deplorable to see Republicans joining them with NO evidence that the administration's foreign policy efforts are "adrift."

It is also ironic that these dimwits (including the Republicans who joined them today) remain incapable of connecting the dots between Clinton's numerous foreign policy disasters and our current troubles across the globe. They never challenged him or his severely oxygen-deprived lackies (sp?) who carried out his inane "ideology" (if there ever was one other than enhancing his own image at any cost to the US).

Lugar is usually supportive of conservative defense and foreign policy initiatives. My feeling is he's been in Washington way too long and is bought and paid for by others.

The dims continue to go hard left. I am enjoying watching them drive over the cliff. I do not enjoy Republicans giving aid to the enemy.

Speaking of the bent one, I heard a clip of him on Larry King last night...recognized one of their poll-tested talking points:

During their aministration the inspectors destroyed MORE ILLEGAL WEAPONS than Saddam even has right now. TONS of them.

I realized I'd heard it many, many times. Oh, so he can only kill all the world 3 times over, not 7! Thank you very much.
