How right you are.. That is me.. ;)

You had a lovely boat there.. You must have loved it.. Nice for the Carribean........or somewhere like it..

Fort Meyers Beach is crowded at spring break. Our condo was right near the bridge going to to Bonita Springs tho, so we could always duck south. We bought the house when the condo got too small for long stays, but we have still have the condo under rental.

That canal you are looking at is the Caloosahatchee River..which seperates Cape Coral and Fort Meyers city. Quite a large river, and it is a mile and a half wide at the lower bridge. Captiva is not on the map as you can see.. It is just north of Sanibel Island.

Nice place you stayed at.. Biiiiig bucks..;)

Thanks Loddy, It's been alot of researching because there was something 14,000 men that were in the 69th Division and apparently there was a bit of confusion, the gentleman that I have been in contact with thought I had said my dad was in the artillery unit and was looking in that area.

What happen was I mention one of the a citations that dad received , it was for the bronze star and in it, it said that he called for artillery fire.

this is what it said ..

Technical Sergeant Mo1, Infantry, United States Army, for heroic achievement in connection with military operations against the enemy, on 17 April 1945, in Germany. Technical Sergeant Mo1, as Platoon Sergeant, had to attack across 1000 yards of completely open terrain toward the enemy's flak guns. By strategically directing the fire of his support squad, he enabled two pinned-down squads to withdraw tactically without the lose of a single man. Technical Sergeant Mo1 then called for artillery fire, giving the exact location of the enemy, resulting in all the enemy positions being neutralized. Throughout the action the bravery, courage and superior leadership displayed by Technical Sergeant Mo1 reflects the highest credit upon himself and the armed forces of the United States.

By command of Brigadier General MARAIST:

Hi Prentice even tho you are absent. I knew you would think my son backs the "Right" team - *L* And on the healthcare thingy, I know Canadians with money go across the border and get surgery but I also see them streaming back this way to fill their prescriptions. Our branch office in Peachland is in the back part of our friends Pharmacy, and he fills a LOT of prescriptions for American seniors. They come by the busload. Truth be known, at this time, we BOTH have problems in our health care delivery systems. PS> It sounds like you covet grans boat - LOL

The weather here was pretty wild... ominous clouds, then lightning - then a downpour that immediately flooded the streets.
