What exactly should President Bush do now?
I have read somewhere that Lott is dismayed at the conservatives deserting him over this issue, and may do anything to get back at them.

Pbbbbtttt!!!
Wrongo!
I have nothing more to say.

Time to head on home now. Later.
To: Common Tator
then went back in the white house and hid.Bush is hiding and that always spells defeat.
Bush while hiding in the Lincoln bed room,
Bush is in hiding,
This is a disaster and Bush is hiding under the bed in the White house trying to avoid the consequences.
BOVINE FECES

Pure unadulterated Barbara Streisand.
You DO remember that it was BUSH who won in 2000 NOT GORE RIGHT?
TO accuse OUR PRESIDENT of hiding surely causes me to part ways with you CT.
As Miss Marple says...PHTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
And after you get off of your podium, maybe THEN you can realize WHAT IS HAS TO DO WITH ANYTHING.

Neither Lott nor the media have any idea of what affirmative action is. I've seen it in action and it is racist - against whites! Maybe that's why the media is so hot on trying to make Lott a racist, to try to change the color code on affirmative action racism!

What exactly should President Bush do now? Gary Bauer is quoting the white house as saying that Bush wants Lott gone and is willing to pay the "price" of losing the senate to get rid of him.
I suspect that Lott early on told Bush support me or else. Bush then said no one threatens me and walked out side and trashed Lott
Lott said OK. Get ready for LOTTS of OR ELSE
Bush will not back down and neither will Lott.
It is the nature of Men. UGGGG Men and their egos.
I have lots of faults... but ego is my biggest. If I knew how to fix it ... I would fix myself.

Neets, maybe playing the Lord's Baseball Game will win the day for Lott:
The Lord's Baseball Game
Bob and the Lord stood by to observe a baseball game. The Lord's team was playing Satan's team.
The Lord's team was at bat, the score was tied zero to zero, and it was the bottom of the 9th inning with two outs. They continued to watch as a batter stepped up to the plate whose name was Love. Love swung at the first pitch and hit a single, because Love never fails.
The next batter was named Faith, who also got a single because Faith works with Love.
The next batter up was named Godly Wisdom. Satan wound up and threw the first pitch. Godly Wisdom looked it over and let it pass: Ball one. Three more pitches and Godly Wisdom walked, because Godly Wisdom never swings at what Satan throws.
The bases were now loaded. The Lord then turned to Bob and told him He was now going to bring in His star player. Up to the plate stepped Grace.
Bob said, "He sure doesn't look like much!"
Satan's whole team relaxed when they saw Grace. Thinking he had won the game, Satan wound up and fired his first pitch. To the shock of everyone, Grace hit the ball harder than anyone had ever seen. But Satan was not worried; his center fielder let very few get by. He went up for the ball, but it went right through his glove, hit him on the head and sent him crashing on the ground; then it continued over the fence for a home run!
The Lord's team won!
The Lord then asked Bob if he knew why Love, Faith, and Godly Wisdom could get on base but could not win the game. Bob answered that he did not know why.
The Lord explained, "If your love, faith, and wisdom had won the game you would think you had done it by yourself. Love, Faith and Wisdom will get you on base but only My Grace can get you Home."

And that is what has me worried. James Carville's fingerprints are all over this. Lott's stupid comment has fractured the Republican party, and all in the name of power and sport on the dems and the media side. Hopefully some of Lott's colleagues can talk to him and talk some sense into his head. We'll see...

Yeah, I don't have a solution either. The media feeding frenzy is at a fever pitch, and is out of control. I do not know what Lott can say now to save his leadership position. I was just reading in the National Review that this situation is a lose-lose situation for the Republicans. Lott doesn't step down as ML, and the dems use him as being insenstive on racial issues, thus bogging down the REpublican agenda. If Lott does step down, it just emboldens the left and the media to start going after other Republicans. You can bet that they will go after Nickles next. It is just a sad state of affairs when a stupid comment is blown so out of proportion, when the Dems ACTS are ignored and/or a half-hearted apology is accepted (Byrd, Hollings, Clinton, etc.)
And to be honest, this brouhahah would have occurred with the next stupid comment made by a Republican. Lott just happened to step in it.

I saw it and I was kinda close in my image of what you look like only I pictured you slim but you do wear glasses, I was right on that.
To: Common Tator
Surely not the worst politcal blunder in your lifetime. Whatever is happening now is nowhere near the level of UOX42's LEAST egregious actions.
This too will pass. Bush will give the Pundit Class three or four days of self-righteous breast-beating and then will deploy the Strategery Team to put paid to the whole mess.
Lott has become a legend in his own mind, and it is time for him to go.

My concern is that he is going to get out all together. Radio stations down here and saying that is what he will do and Epsy, black democract, will be appointed by the gov. Hope he doesn't do this but once you have that kind of position you don't want to be a indian again.
You have a lot of knowledge and I honestly respect you for that. I just hope it all can come out in the wash and we can get on with our lives. I know if he does leave I will have no respect for him what so ever like that is going to ruin his day.

The receptionist in the building I work in has hung snowflakes all over the windows and desk. They are beautiful, she handcut them, and got the patterns of the web. I just wanted to share the site with you all. The guy who designed these is good.

Lott needs to do what Miss Marple says...check himself in somewhere,,,and shut up....and so do all the other pubbie has been wanna-be's (GARY BAUER and Bill Kristol included) JUST SHUT UP. Then when this issue (AA, Race-relations, Pubbies not being "inclusive") rears it's ugly head again, I have no doubt OUR President will rise to the occassion, as he always does.... This issue is no bigger than ANY politician out there...and I have enough faith and confidence in OUR President, who always shows us how to "Walk softly and carry a big stick." will get us through this, in his own special way.

DSL is nice.
The girl that lived here temporarily after her house burned down was here for a visit with her little girl and the the girl's father. I'm glad that things have worked out for them.
I'm not saying things are perfect, but that baby is one that got to live when so many in that situation get aborted. Sometimes, when you take in strays, you don't know how things are going to work out.

If OUR PRESIDENT didn't run and hide from Osama Bin Laden, in the Lincoln Bedroom, I find it extremely uncharacteristic to claim he is hiding from this lame ass issue.

Thanks, UG! The patterns on the larger images are large enough that you can simply print them and cut them out! Very cool!
