Being a typical male, I didn't read the instructions.

My first putt didn't go very far.

And now there are cookies to get sick over.....

In my dotage, I've learned that instructions are our friends most of the time. Christine is bringing the world reknowned Mo cake over here for dessert tonight. Should be fantastic. Cheers all.

Well everyone....here is the latest news from my little corner of the world:

1st, we have 3 parties for the Toys For Tots, the first was tonite. We had 1069 kids this year in our area! We thought at first we were going to be 100 toys short but then some facilites came through and we made it!

the second bit of news if BIG NEWS: Taco had surgery on last Tuesday for Fibrosarcoma and yesterday the lab results came back: There was no evidence of residual fibrosarcoma within examined sections which included a large section of dermis and subcutis and a deeper area of skeletal muscle. The mass within the larger specimen is an inflamed seroma, presumably the result of prior surgery. Tissues from the margins were also examined and were free of neoplasia!

While this does not mean they can say Taco is cured, they can say this is the best possible result for the location where the cancer tumor was found. Taco is in remission. Now we just do detailed followup on him..the tumor was very small and we got it very early. So all you pet owners, especially kitty moms and dads...the fibrocarcoms in cats is about 1 out of 20,000 I think it is. It most often is connected with vaccine sites but can be caused by other injections. so check kitty carefully and often because these tumors can pop up rather quickly and fibrosarcoms is an aggressive cancer and the outlook is often grim. So If you feel any odd lump or bump on your pet run to the vet. It could save your pet's life.

Taco has already tried to make a couple jail breaks out of the shower stall where he has to be confined for 2 weeks to keep the shoulders quiet so he does not get another seroma (fluid in the area) he is on pain meds and is kinda sleepy the pain is enough that he is on pain patch. But it looks like Taco is going to have more catnip to chase ( and Missie is just itching to slug him).

Got to head off. We leave sunday for LA and on Monday for the DC area...on United....*worry*. I hope our trip will be uneventful in the air and at the airports (I do tend to worry about that stuff) and that we have no problems in VA..and come home well ( no colds etc). HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL AND GOOD FORTUNE TO ALL IN 2003 (especially you, Nully) Love Ya, CeeGee

Very good news about Taco. Will you have a chance to check in with us while you are gone? A new vet I have (a mobile vet who comes to the house) says it isn't necessary to vaccinate indoor kitties with the regularity of outdoor kitties. I know the sarcomas are a concern at the vacination sites. All of our kitties are indoors only, and very healthy.

We had our first frost of the year this morning. On Thursday, there was snow on Mt. Diablo, which was lovely. It is a glorious sunny day today, after days and days of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
