Yup, loads of planning I'm sure. I looked for some excerpts of Hillary's! advance man from his book; On the Road With Hillary: A Behind-The-Scenes Look at the Journey from Arkansas to the U.S. Senate by Patrick S. Halley but didn't find anything interesting until this:

When our territory suffered an infestation of our opponent's lawn signs, we took umbrage, and one night Bob Durand and I decided to take matters into our own hands. We waited until well after dark and then went around town in a rickety red pickup truck, plucking the signs from front yards. We were making great progress and had the truck just about full of enemy signs when the flashing blue lights of a police cruiser appeared behind us.

"Uh-oh. We're in big trouble," Durand croaked.

"Just let me do the talking," I said as the officer got out of his cruiser and approached our truck.

"We got a call complaining about you," the cop said.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Officer," I replied. "I know it's a little late, but we promised we'd get all these signs put up tonight. I guess we'll have to knock off for the evening if we're making too much noise."

"Yeah. You boys go on home now. You can put up the rest of these signs tomorrow."

Durand just looked at me and shook his head.

Atkins won his race and shortly thereafter hired both Durand and me to work in his legislative office at the State House. At the age of seventeen I was on the state senate payroll. My initial duties included running errands and answering the phone, but I quickly progressed to helping constituents and then to writing speeches, drafting legislation, dealing with the media, and handling Atkins's reelection. I knew that politics was where I wanted to spend my life. I just wasn't sure what role I wanted to play.

From the first chapter of said book. Cripes, if he was up to stealing and lying to police officers this early in his career imagine what hill and bill's advance teams are up to today. Nothing too crass, self absorbed or illegal for these folks. Shudder!

POSdom

LOL! Have to remember that one. Speaking of POSdom...

Clicking around the channels just now I happen across Maurey Povich. This is the most disgusting POS show. How Connie Chug holds her head up in public is a mystery to me.

The State Dept.'s visa program strikes again:

Kenya Police are holding 12 suspects in yesterday's bombings. "The U.S. State Department said among those being held are an American woman and her non-American husband, a permanent U.S. resident." (Washington Post)

Alack, poor Seamus, I knew him well (probably better than his globetrotting "master" does).

Ha ha ha.

Former vice president Al Gore holds a substantial lead over his potential rivals for the 2004 Democratic presidential nomination, preferred by roughly half of the Democrats surveyed nationally in a new Washington Post poll. With Gore in the race, no other Democrat included in the survey topped 10 percent.

As the various potential candidates make final decisions about whether to seek the nomination in 2004, the poll offers fresh evidence of the prominence Gore enjoys even in a field that might include the Democratic leaders of the House and Senate and the party's 2000 vice presidential nominee.

Wash Post

Of course, they didn't include Ol' Crusty as a potential candidate in the survey, for what it's worth.

Catty remarks from the Daily Record, a Brit newspaper:

THEY say that a year is a long time in politics - and the lines around Hillary Clinton's eyes proved that yesterday. The New York senator and her hubby, ex-president Bill Clinton, are in the UK to visit daughter Chelsea, who's studying at Oxford University It's only a few short months since Hillary looked glam and groomed for success in the race for a seat in the Senate. link

Perhaps people are staying away from Harrod's due to the fact that Fayed's relative, Adnan Koshogghi (sp?) is an infamous arms dealer. And I doubt he's been dealing to our side all these years.

That would be a very good reason to boycott Harrod's.

New Thread!
