I'm only asking because my Wife is on her boards a lot, too. She's not into politics, though; too boring for her. I try and explain that some of the country's best humor comes from watching liberals make complete horse's asses outta themselves for all the world to see. Oh, well.

Let me say welcome to Free Republic! I've looked around DU from time to time, and the lack of open discourse is stultifying!

I hope you enjoy it here, and that we have some spirited and interesting discussions. There's a lot of good stuff here ...every site has its nuts, but this forum does not pre-approve posts before they appear on the site. Posts that violate the no profanity/no personal attacks/no racism or violence rules do get pulled when someone mashes the Abuse button, but you don't have to wait 20 minutes for a post to appear.

Don't feel bad. I'm a democrat and they have booted me off there once or twice. They are not an "underground", but in fact are just your everyday "establishment" democrat website. Toe the line or face excommunication. If you wan't to hang around DU, post a lot of "Right On! I thought I was the only one who knew that. I have been banned from DU at least 5 times so little 'ol me is "5" of their members. But, what can you expect considering the democrat habit of voting for dead people, etc. parsy.

Oops, I forgot. Make that six "bannings." I accidentally got my future niece in law banned from DU. She had a little sticky note on the monitor with her password on it. So one night I posted something bad about Hillary. WHAM BAM they banned her! I felt bad about that. She really loved the site and used to post her rotten beatnik poetry there. She cried like a baby when it happened and I felt like a complete heel. Haven't ever fessed up, but will probably wait until after she marries my goofy nephew to tell her. parsy the heel.
