Thanks you two!

JL, I am glad I read that on an empty stomach. UnFreakin'Believable!!

Well glamor girl, have fun with your muffler. And you'd better get home at a reasonable hour tonight, it's Miss America!!

You're right, it wouldn't be the same without you.

It's the end of the world as we know it: Barbara Bush (the younger) spotted drinking a glass of wine, thread here (including gratuitous swipe at the Guild!)

WH Correspondent's dinner

That's the one I meant. Those journalists were really rather rude. Their behavior was making Ray very uncomfortable and I felt so badly for him.

Just goes to show how "in touch" they are with the rest of America. One doesn't have to be dirty to be funny.

It took a while to find southern rocks in his heads comment....uh...ok. Fascinating how the twins can have drinks or wine and the press goes nuts, but the chelz can be falling down, puking her guts out, spit swapping drunk - and she's the new fashion & style queen for the world.

Good grief - were none of those putzes ever young?

Fantastic opener, BWB! You been working hard, baby. Is there going to be a Miss America live thread tonight (like there wouldn't be, right!)?

Hot damn, two live threads in one weekend (and stick man, too) - we must be livin' right!

Clinton and Mandela - better known as Pepe LePue and Daffy Duck.

Anyone notice how Clinton seems to live in Africa? I guess Harlem isn't "black" enough for the first black president.

Yikes, I could hardly stay awake reading that thread. You know if you're going to insult someone, the least you can do is blame the right people.

Jacob age 85, and Rebecca age 79 are all excited about their decision to get married. They go for a stroll to discuss the wedding and on the way go past a drugstore. Jacob suggests that they go in. He addresses the man behind the counter:

"Are you the owner?"

The pharmacist answers, "Yes."

Jacob: "Do you sell heart medication?"
Pharmacist: "Of course we do."

Jacob: "How about medicine for circulation?"
Pharmacist: "All kinds."

Jacob: "Medicine for rheumatism?"
Pharmacist: "Definitely."

Jacob: "How about Viagra?"
Pharmacist: "Of course."

Jacob: "Medicine for memory?"
Pharmacist: "Yes, a large variety."

Jacob: "What about vitamins and sleeping pills?"
Pharmacist: "Absolutely."

Jacob: "Perfect! We'd like to register here for our wedding gifts."

Kudos for your responses on the "Barbara drank wine, oh no!" thread. Our critic seems to have issues. As I recall, several months ago he insisted on a thread that the only reason high school phys ed teachers made kids take showers after gym class was that all phys ed teachers are pedophiles and just want to see naked children. The concept of hygiene, body odor and the like escaped him, so I'm not surprised at the latest silly generalization, given the disconnect in his thought processes. LOL

Good Morning. The weather has turned brisk in the midwest. It will require socks, jeans and a sweatshirt to enjoy my garden walk this morning. The fall asters and mums are beginning to put on quite a show.
