Good morning everyone - and a happy hump day to all.
Valerie has captured the beauty of a horrible (to a farmer or rancher) Texas thistle.

I'm not sure, Mo. It was growing in the garden at the Mountain Farm Museum in North Carolina -- I think it might be a cone flower. I liked the color.

Oh dear,..I wonder where my book went? I always keep them together.. I did buy the boxed set, so I figured I would get a book.
Thanks Val.. I'll do another search.. I suppose I could have left it Fl.. ;(
Well, I'll be there soon..

Yet another wonderful example of why your work should be published - thanks for all your pics. ;-)
Gran - throw some of your flowers up here. You've got some real beauties also.

Grannie and Mo have me completely outdone in the flower department - they actually grow the things! There's the real work -- all I do is take pictures.
To: ValerieUSA
Oh no .. you do the real work .. all I do is throw them in the ground and sprinkle some miracle grow on them
I keep trying to get clear pictures like yours and they just are a big blur
God gave you a gift with the eye .. your pictures are beautiful
God gave me the ability to make every one's spelling look great .. LOL

That's a good one garn!
It looks so shy... like it's trying to hide its private flower parts from you.

I think it's down a bit.
My scale only goes up to 300 lbs.
When I get on it, it just looks up at me with those big red eyes and says: "Would one of you get off?"
To: Mo1
Nully has coffee...
