Sorry.

Hey Loddy,
When I was in Nam...the last great war, we used to fish with concussion grenades all the time. Toss one over the side of our patrol boats and the little fishy buggers would float to the surface. We always were on the prowl for red snappers...they were the big ticket fisheys.

"We always were on the prowl for red snappers" Oh yum! They are some of the best!

Well, I made it through our party without incident...only pissed off one Britt lady who told me about how she backpacked through Tanzania during the Nuyurie regime. I mentioned that the country was still trying to recover from old Julius's economic policies, and maybe, might have a chance if only european socialism was banned from the country. Well, she got a little huffy, the wife elbowed me under the table, but that was the end of it. The A-hole libs HATE it when they have to face this kind of confrontation. I suspect when we host the next expat party, maybe there won't be a lot of attendeeeees? If only my FReeper pals could be here.

Well, she got a little huffySometimes the truth hurts... maybe you opened her mind just a little bit!

Hey OCC,
We used to have these concussion grenades and the brass types figured we should toss them over the side during night shift to discourage "frogman"-types...it didn't take us guys long to figure out we could have fresh fish for breakfast if we suspected sappers.
To: Cuttnhorse
Elbowed under the table? OUCH!

Sounds like you did an admirable job.

Elbowed under the table? OUCH!Actually, I'm pretty used to it. The wife, who I admire so much, shows much more restraint than I. Although I kid her about the big flap she got into with the goofy wimmins over guns.
There is a large expat community in this city...mostly comprised of workers at the several observatories in the area. There are about 6 telescopes within a 100-miles of La Serena and most of the expats are astronomers and various support engineers. Mostly nice people, BUT, seem to think Algore should be president. My little wifey, bless her heart, puts up with their left-wing crap to a point, then lets them have it. She has so much more people skills than I will ever have.

I was on 50-foot patrol boats, and duty varied from shear bordom to shear terror. It was both fun and very sad.
To: Cuttnhorse
Thankfully I never had to expearience the shear terror, but I did expearience a lot of shear boredom in the Air Force. I am thankful for your service and bravery.
To: operation clinton cleanup
Thank you so much, I appreciate your service as well.
