Oh please do. :) I love carrot cake but I don't have a good recipe for it. Everything I usually bake is chocolate. I'll surprise everyone if I try something new. :)

Good morning all...just got up a short while ago, its cold here...just 60degrees now, ,due to go all the way up to 66...and tonite it will be going down to 42...just 10 degrees away from freezing....I am going to have to put the heat on tonite...heating bills, coming early...

I have no idea what BigDom has planned for us today...I thought we were going to do some work stuff, but yesterday he was talking about some sports games on TV..BigDom loves his sports, loves to watch them, loves to play them...

This year when he went back to Chicago, for his Memorial Day picnic, and like every year, he tried to organize a football game...now when they were younger men, they would all be out there, playing a rough game of football...but now, they are all near 60, and football has lost its appeal for most of them...

Not BigDom tho, he still wants to play football...unfortunately hes about the only one still in shape and nimble enough to play, due no doubt, to the fact, that he is only one year out from all his military duties, and being in the military has kept him in fine shape, able to play football, or anything else he wants...

When he got his pics of the picnic developped, he showed me a pic of this years football game...two guys, BigDom and one of his friends kicking and passing the football to one another...really big game...

So, he has to content himself with watching his beloved football on TV...but I know, hed rather be out there, running, and tackling and kicking...

Gran...I just love that song, 'Into the Mystic'...I was just playing it last nite....can play it over and over and not get tired of it...

Thats a help Gran....I finally broke down and turned on the heat for a few minutes to warm it up in here....when I checked the thermostat, the indoor temp was 59...now, thats just too dang cold, for these bones....so the heat was welcome....I hate to begin paying heating bills already, but there is no sense at all to freezing in here....

Besides, wanted BigDom to feel comfy when he woke up, after working all nite....

Mom.. I put my heat on in the kitchen day before yesterday.. It was only 61 and I was chilly.. Sometimes you just need to jog it to warm up the rooms..
