I think Body Heat is one of the best movies ever made. The music by John Barry is very good; it's available on CD.

Once Upon a Time in the West is my all-time favorite Western! No moral-relativist bull and Claudia Cardinale is very easy on the eyes.

When I saw Independence Day, and the scene in which the black stripper tells the First Lady that she voted for the other guy, I knew the movie's President had to be a Republican. Not only that, he was in the military.

You know a movie has to be at least worth a look when the critics hate it as much as they hated Independence Day.

I don't know. They made the NVA try to seem a bit too noble.

-------------------

That last scene where the NVA colonel makes introspective predictions of the continuation and end of the war is one of the areas I was uncomfortable with.

This is a good topic for Joe Bob Briggs. I used to love reading his drive-in movie reviews. He gauged them by counting pints of blood, dismembered body parts, and how many boobs were shown.

Forrest Gump. It's a movie about honor, which is what separates a cheating liberal from a true, value-driven conservative. Regardless of the specific stands on issues (bar abortion and support of the Bill of Rights), standing on principle which separates us from them.

Interestingly, the novelization of ID4 makes it very clear that President Whitmore is a Democrat.

He was too, you boys! I installed two-way mirrors in his pad in Brentwood--and he come to the door in a dress!

I blame society,

It was just ranked one of the top 50 movies of all-time.

You are right...I'm very un-PC. But, I'm very pro-Constitution.

I never endorsed the Klan.

I was mearly recommended a good un-PC movie from early American film making.
