I enjoy the Samsung more. It's bullet proof, cheaper to operate, and once it's warmed up for the first page, it's faster.

Thanks, I'll look into it when I need a new printer. I've never had a printer that I like, actually.

The new "high capacity" HP cartridges still give me about 400 pages at 50% higher cost. NCR refills and self refills on those seem to get me about 50 pages before they spontaneously dump their remaining contents all over the inside of my printer.

The same just happened to me. I tried to clean it out but it still won't work. Any ideas?

No ideas really - the old Deskjet I have just seems to keep working. I just cleaned it out as best I could, and with a fresh cartridge it prints fine. The newer models don't seem to be as forgiving, we have a few around the office and a serious paper jam will kill them. Inkjet printers are just a throwaway product anymore.
