My prayers go out to the Ricci family during this time. RR was sent up the river and used as a scape-goat. No evidence, whatsoever, linking him to the disappearance of Elizabeth.
May he rest in peace.
This is what you want to look for. Any time you see a statement by SLCPD that 'there is nothing significant' or 'it was nothing' you know you have just stumbled across one of the gigantic pieces of the Elizabeth Smart puzzle.
I especially liked the clip that LKL played of Lois Smart talking about Liz. The body language between Ed & Lois really shot holes in the all-purpose critics claims that the Smart marriage is on the rocks.
And this is somebody that just didn't fit for the neighborhood for that time of the day and also just wasn't the right criteria to me.

Why would Ed Smart make this statement upon hearing of Ricci's death?
Uh, because he thought someone had poisoned Ricci? That's what I thought. In fact I still think that might be what happened. Whatever happened to that autopsy the hospital said they were going to do? Whatever happened to that public showing of the body Angela said they were going to do? Did somebody pay somebody off?
We don't know that an autopsy wasn't done. We also don't know the results of the toxocology tests. I believe some such tests take several weeks.
You may recall that Dinse is super-sensitive to lawsuits. You can bet that all of the i's will be dotted and the t's will be crossed.

You might want to heed your own advice. Your zeal to blame everything on a family member without even a shred of evidence makes you look like a kook, IMHO.
I taped it and will save it for posterity in the likely event that those in the Logic_Free zone attempt to distort what was said.

I agree. I don't believe he was involved in any way. Moreover, I would like to contribute to any Angela Ricci fund that may have been started. If you hear of one, let me know.
Angela showed more class tonight on LK than anyone else connected with the case.
Why did the Smarts not speak out against this treatment -- considering Ed Smart said this week he does not believe Ricci was in his home the night of the disappearance?
I expect these are all questions a good defense attorney will soon be asking.
Even hard-nosed Nancy Grace, seemed visably moved by Angela's class act tonight on LK.
