Jim, I'm surprized you find it neccessary to apologize to Registered for suspending him, I witnessed the outburst that got him suspended, and if he isn't man enough to accept the fact that he violated YOUR rules, than to hell with him. IMHO he owes a few people an apology and I hardly think he deserves one.... I never thought I would be saying this, But I feel you are disregarding your principles by apologizing to someone who earned his suspension. If he isn't man enough to admit when he's wrong, Than he's no better than those we fight against. Jim... It's a matter of principles and you of all people should know this.

But why do "you people" then tear down our choice that won the election. Bush is not libertarian, you probably did not vote for him but he is the president. He will not be putting your agenda in - he is a compassionate conservative not an ultra right winger.

Does the fact your candidate did not get in mean that you never support the president or the country? Are you going to demonize him in concert with the democrats and win their battles for them?

Doesn't the president of the United States warrant some support since your candidate did not get in. Is there no understanding that he will not please you 100%?

I praise Bush if he does something I like, and I roast him when he doesn't.  Where you get the idea that this is not supporting my president or my country is beyond me.   Blind loyalty is not a trait that ever stuck to me.

C'mon. His penalty was a week in the box. The week has been served, plus a few more. His suspension was never intended to be permanent and possibly would not have been had I used a different approach. The feud between many of these people on the Keyes/Klayman/Bush threads has been running for many months. There is a whole lot more to this story than what transpired in this single incident. It's very frustrating trying to referee fights between good people who have labored as long and hard on the same team as we have against our common foe. We have way too many feuds and long running flame wars ongoing. People are tearing and ripping at each others throats all over the forum. I hate like hell to lose good people over this stuff. And, yes, If I overreact in the heat of the moment then feel differently later, I might feel a need to apologize to someone. It happens. Howlin and Registered have been fellow FReepers for many years fighting on the same team for the same causes. They should not become bitter enemies over their temporary political differences.

Nope, I just believe the rules should apply to everyone, and apologies to those who violate them is hardly what I consider a stand up thing to do. I have enjoyed most of Registered's creations and I think he's very talented and witty, But I also believe rules are there for a reason and when the officials of the forum are willing to bend them for the stars of the forum, then the forum will lose the respect of the majority of those of us who contribute to this forum without violating the rules. IMHO the rules will no longer be respected with this kind of polcy.
