Dear Cultural Jihad , I searched for your user name and found ya' . I could not respond back on the thread , ' Los Angeles Invasion ' we were on yesterday because it has been ' locked ' for some reason. Thanks for your understanding by responding , "Thanks for the clarification voa-davidk."
Are you a moderator for the site ? Today I suddenly thought ,' Is Cultural Jihad an admin. moderator ?" I had asked why you sent your message to me to the admin . moderater because it said 'admin modrtr ' next to your name or mine .
Nevertheless , It does not matter to me if you are a moderaater for none other reason than I thought today I might have said something incorrect in saying ," Why did you send my message to the admin . moderator ?" I thought today , wait , Maybe I read the post's label info. wrong when you asked , " Are you selling politicaal action lists for thirteen dollars ? " , and I thought that maybe what I saw was actually you as labeled the moderater next to your name . And if you did send it to the admin. moderator , hey no big deal ,we got the FEC selling the PAC lists issue cleared up . Thanks much , your friend , voa-davidk :)

Like I said I may be wrong about the libertarians. I'm not wrong about good conservatives being banned. You of all people should know that.

It takes us all to make it work and we must reach some consensus on just HOW it will work. Jim cannot to this alone. I'm sure he does not want to. The idea seems to me to be that as many of us as possible take on as much accountablity and responsibility as possible. Part of that accountability and responsibility is knowing when to exercise self-restraint for the good of the community as a whole. As I say, web communities get killed from internal bickering far more than they do from external pressure.

Why does it surprise you that the bulk of posters are in the GOP?
Didn't say that it did. I said it'd be sad if this place was totally populated with Republicans.
Somebody's got to be here to keep little brownshirts like you in line. ;)

Somebody's got to be here to keep little brownshirts like you in line. ;) That's enough. There are no brownshirts here. And as I say, you are merely giving comfort - as well as propaganda material - to those who wish this board ill.

Chill Ivan. TF and I don't see eye to eye on much of anything, but we have a grudging respect for each other. That's why there was a ;) on the end of that post. We go way back.

Question. What do you think would happen if a large majority of the conservative base decided to boycott the next elections and stay home? Would the RNC continue down the path they are on, or would they try to figure out what went wrong and make changes?
Who knows? Perhaps the politicians might assume they were too engrossed with a new apathy-inducing narcotic to bother to vote.
To: FatherTorque
You and I do seem to be the FR odd couple don't we. LOL

Wow, I knew it would happen sooner or later. Make 'em give you one of those spiffy hats with the point on top too. ;)

Unfortunately this is showing signs of developing into yet another "If Only" thread, and that was difficult enough to stop.

The fact that someone feels intimidated enough to be forced to depart is not cause for celebration. It is an alarm bell.Thank you, Ivan. I must take the proper responsibility:
Someone mentioned that they felt that Registered was more important than the rest of us (my "ilk", as I understood it) put together, and was quite upset that he had chosen not to return. I will interject that I find this attitude dysfunctional and unnecessary, but I did oblige her. I said that I would make her a deal if she would rather share this space with someone who had no concern for the privacy and personal safety of others than with someone like me with whom she merely disagreed; if she could convince Registered to return, I would gracefully bow out.
I did indeed offer to leave.
Many people have celebrated. I find that a little strange (and not unlike a scene from "Lord of the Flies"), but that is the nature of this place, I have learned.
I would never celebrate the absence of a person who had done nothing wrong whether I liked and agreed with them or not, but that illustrates one of the diverse characteristics of Freepers. Many would, and do - with no shame whatsoever. And I can live with that. They make it a little easier to keep the promise, to be honest with you.
To: Texasforever
Yeh, I don't understand it. I mean you'd be sooo easy to hate.

All I need are 5 neighbors and two close family members to turn into TIPS and I get the full uniform.

Padre, you need to do stand up comedy in your spare time.
