I'm not sure everyone wants to hear this, but...I am going to pay my American Express bill this month, my mortgage, cleaning bill, insurance, (home, auto and life) and about a dozen more. I am really impressed to learn that someone is going to resume payments to FR.

Well, tell ya what. Let's see if the product improves. If this becomes a website I visit frequently again, as opposed to the very infrequent visits I pay it now, I will contribute.

I've always told the Antifreepers, I could care less about FR's finances or the intrigue or the plots or how FR spends money. I came here, I consumed a service, and I paid for it. Kinda like a hamburger joint. If I liked the hamburgers, I ate there, I didn't ask for a profit/loss statement.

But lately, the calls for unquestioned loyalty to Bush despite his administrations repeated and ever-encroaching abrogations of the Bill of Rights -- and the pile-on of the masses of Bushbots, who get unrestrained rights to say whatever they wish and personally attack in any fashion they so desire -- has me really ambivilent about the place. I want to see a return to a Constitutional Republic, not to a place with internment camps, suspensions of American Citizenship on the governments say-so, and so on. If this web site returns to its original mission, I will consume more hamburgers here then elsewhere.

And then I will feel a moral obligation to pay for the 'mental food' I consume.

But I need to see it first.
