Did these seemingly fine people leave as a part of the process where they were spreading their wings (no pun intended, Wings ol' fella) and learning to fly or see the rest of the world....or were they driven out as was obviously attempted to be done to me? And was being attempted against Sweetliberty? Was the back-stabbing and back-biting being done by the southern Christian hypocrit towards me and some of the remnant gang, also done to the 'old gang'?

Nope, it wasn't. There are a few people that I don't like, you included, but except for Conservobabe, there has been no "plot" to get rid of any of them. The plotting started because you are so despised by so many. With the exception of a couple of people who like your newspaper crap, that's 2 people as far as I can tell, most everyone just leaves when you show up.

While we are on the subject, I like pretty much all* the FReeoples. I don't always agree with them, sometimes I'm even mad at one ot two.

But we are a family, sometimes we squabble, sometimes we hug. (Although some of us do seem to want to be only children)...

I like Rowdee as well. In fact I also like most of you. I don't understand a lot of the attacks I have seen from time to time, but then I seem to have a naive tendency to look for the best in people. I also don't know what goes on personally between any of the rest of you and there is no reason why I should, so I have just figured there are things I am missing and leave it at that. Still, I hate to see bad feelings between people I care about.

We all know the circumstances of your introduction to the thread. So what? The apparent reason doesn't really make sense if you think about it, does it? But I don't care, and you're delusional if you think anyone else does either.

I don't have to like everyone on the thread or confront someone I don't like or pretend to like someone who is not my friend. As a grown-up, most of the time I choose to just ignore obnoxious posts here, though I am capable of speaking my mind when the mood (or a viper) strikes.

I miss the banter on the thread the way it used to be - playful and light-hearted and silly, yet still creating a bond of comfort and ease. A bond that could withstand some major disputes and a comfort that allowed us to reveal our lives to each other beyond our FR handles.

There is nothing about your posts that remind me of the old times at all.... so I don't understand your nostalgia for them when you weren't even here.
I think perhaps you just like butting in, and the present isn't enough for you - you have to butt into the past, too.

Your post does nothing to bring the wit, friendship, comfort and ease of the old threads back - it's just a warning to us to keep our guard up always because this isn't as safe a place to bond and share as we thought it was.

I like Dee Valerie. I don't really think you know her. An accusation of butting in is unfair. Frankly she was invited. I'm glad. We have had many off screen, uplifting chats. What I find, is that is far too little "defense" of our friends on this thread when they are attacked. Ignoring offensiveness is easy. Taking it on and defending the recipient "ought" to be just as easy if we really did care for one another. I hate seeing someone constantly picked on.
