JUST SPENT 10 days in San Diego. Great place. I love California. Lived there for ~10 years. But California and Californians have a LOT to answer for. God may make of that state a list of object lessons.

Thankfully, there are many who know Him there, as well.

Thanks for all of your replies and interest. I just want to reiterate that I'm not claiming prophetic significance for this dream I had.

I'm really not much into dreams, since most are the equivalent of defragging a hard drive. I remember almost none of mine, I just don't care. But occasionally, dreams have a plot where events seem to transpire in real time rather than dream time. To get from point A to point B in the dream, the distance must be traversed, rather than a sudden shift in dream environment. Those types of dreams are at least interesting to me, and such was the case with my earthquake dream.

In the interest of full disclosure, I'm a reasonably informed layman on the subject of earthquakes, and was aware of Missouri's New Madrid earthquakes of the early 19th Century prior to my dream, though I'd never imagined the Mississippi Valley disappearing beneath the ocean.

I'm passingly familiar with Edgar Cayce, the sleeping prophet, because I was interested in Chariots of the Gods and Lost Continent type books in the 70s. I'd never before read of predictions similar to my dream, though. I've also never read Ruth Montgomery or Arthur Ford.

Several raised the question of how a subduction of the Mississippi Valley and oceanic encroachment could occur. I don't really know, but here are a few thoughts, just for the sake of pursuing them...

The Earth's diameter is 8,000 miles, and 4,000 miles to the core. The crust is estimated to be about 30 miles thick. Most Earthquakes take place in the crust. Most, but not all...

"Rarely are seismologists lucky enough to deploy a portable seismic array and record a magnitude 8 earthquake less than 600 km away, but that is just what happened last June. We deployed 19 broadband stations during April in central Bolivia. Less than two months later, on June 9, 1994, a Mw = 8.3 earthquake occurred 636 km beneath northern Bolivia. This is the largest deep earthquake to occur since the installation of modern seismic stations and was reportedly felt as far away as Montreal, Canada. This truly amazing earthquake was recorded on our portable broadband array."
LINK

This huge earthquake occurred over 400 miles deep, in the Earth's mantle. There is much we don't know about the structure, pressures, or environment down there. Many were surprised that an earthquake could occur this deep.

I actually felt it in Los Angeles. I was lying on the floor, and felt a small quake. I flipped on the TV, expecting to see the SoCal seismo-cams... nothing. Strange, given that this was less than six months after the Northridge Quake. It wasn't until a few hours later that reports started coming in from South America, and mention was made of the quake being felt in Montreal. I factored for time zones, and realized this was with quake I'd felt.

If it's possible for Los Angeles to feel a quake in Bolivia, it's possible for Los Angeles to feel a quake in Missouri.

A subduction of the Central United States would only need to be of a mile or two to see the entire region flooded by the Gulf of Mexico. This is less that 0.5% of the depth of the deep Bolivian Quake, and 0.05% of the depth to the center of the Earth.

And a subduction wouldn't necessarily require a corresponding displacement elsewhere, and certainly not immediately. Deep Earth structures might absorb the subduction for thousands of years.

For that matter, a subduction might just be a response to some other unrecognized bulging of the Earth's surface elsewhere.

So, the mechanism for such a catastrophic earthquake, may, in fact, exist.

Great news. I guess I can hold off on my truck payment, house payment, credit card payments and stock up on fishing gear. Sounds like I will have some time off work.

No doubt about that!That is so good. LOL I do think about Earthquakes on a fairly consistent basis, only because http://quake.wr.usgs.gov/recenteqs/latest.htm is my homepage,it updates every 5 minutes too and I'm always ready for one,at Work, Home or Play,as every Californian ( So. Cal at least )should be.

As Solomon said, nothing is new under the sun. The North American continent was mostly a sea in the Ordovician time. click

Illbay, sorry to drag you in here, but look at Utah where the only remains of the huge Bonneville Lake are the salt flats and the remaining Great Salt Lake and that was only from a few thousand years ago.

In the Ordovician, a scant 480 million years ago, most of what we now call North America was swamp or beach-front property. Tectonic plates do what they will.

VERY INTERESTING POST. I don't recall enough specifics but roughly seem to recall it as you do only less detail.

I REMAIN skeptical of the quake assertions that things have not increased but I haven't had the time to check it out thoroughly.

Thanks for your kind post.

OH, I WOULDN'T GO THAT FAR UNLESS GOD PERHAPS IN A BURNING BUSH TOLD YOU TO.

Those of us who call HIM Lord are still responsible to Him as well as to those we have made commimtments to. There is still that persistent and universal law about sowing and reaping which is plenty sobering as well.

Fishing? I don't know. I suspect many would be quite choked up so to speak from all the pollution. On the other hand, might be plenty of organic . . . . debris . . . . to put it kindly--for fish to feed on. I wonder if there are any sturgeon in the area.

Tim Snodgrass, the author of the article at the top of this thread and the one who saw the New Madrid visions, has a note on his website now saying:
"E.T.A. Of Release Of Report On Twin Polynesian Quakes Is Approximately Friday, August 23 ... Thank You For Your Patience While Report Is Being Composed... "
He is in the Philippines where August 23 is tomorrow, over the International Dateline.  Tomorrow of course is August 22 in America. [Maybe that's why he can tell ahead of time. Heh heh heh.]

Here is one to compare:  The bear killing the Jewish baby -- how it is related to the Tim Snodgrass vision:

Black bear kills baby girl at vacation colony in N.Y. and  Infant killed by bear in NY state

This is what I think of these signs Warren:

PUZZLE PIECES*

  • A bear attack against Ester Schwimmer;
  • Isaac Abraham tried to save her;
  • The attack occurred in Fallsburg NY, 70 miles from NYC;
  • The Jewish Child was from NYC, Brooklyn
  • Three children, two saved, one perished;
  • Black bears do not attack humans;
  • 5 month old child, a young bear
  • Police Chief Brent (name means “Mountain” or “Hilltop”) Lawrence (Laurel, City South of Rome, St. Lawrence martyred by being grilled alive 258 ad)
  • Pathologist Ward (Watchman) Stone
COMMENTS

Let’s group these puzzle pieces with the Fiji Island earthquakes of Aug 19, that portend of prophesied earthquakes along the California Coast and along the New Madrid fault, prophesied by Timothy Snodgrass and others.

Years ago, the Lord told me that the Russian attack against the US (seen by many, including Duduman and myself) would be preceded by this California Earthquake.  The state animal of California is the bear.  Duduman saw several nations coming with Russia.

Francisco Palou was a missionary, who was entering, for the first time, a valley in Central California, when he was suddenly attacked by a BEAR.  Palou was miraculously rescued from the BEAR.  Since the attack occurred on November 30, and it was St. Andrews day, he named the valley SAN ANDREAS.

The earthquakes are connected with the BEAR ATTACK, and this sign just confirms to me that Timothy Snodgrass is right on the mark with his earthquake prophecies, and that we had better seek God for mercy.

We know that we are going to have trouble in this nation.  It is pointless to even try to pray it away.  It would be bad for our nation to this trouble delayed, as this trouble will bring repentance.

The question, as Nita Johnson phrased it earlier today, is whether or not God is going to spare this nation from BEING GRILLED ALIVE  a nuclear haymaker from a BEAR that is not supposed to be dangerous.  The question is whether God will allow the absolute and total destruction of the United States, which has been prophesied by many.

Isaac and Abraham are trying to save us through the word of God.  Will we listen and turn, or wind up in FALLSBURG, in the same condition that Jerusalem found herself in 70 AD?  Will God find some Esters who will beautify themselves and make intercession with the King, or will Ester be killed?  We’ve already had the warning in NYC in Manhattan.  Will Brooklyn be next?

I do not know if America can be saved, but I do know that anyone with ears to hear and eyes to see should be drawing very close to the Lord their God RIGHT NOW.

Stephen L. Bening

*I wrote some things about this matter last night and didn't post them.  In what I wrote then, before finding the above just now, I made the comparison to puzzle pieces and some people not liking the picture on the puzzle so were resisting putting it together (believing).  It is interesting to see Mr. Bening use the same term, Puzzle Pieces.
