Capps,
Can we get a conference call and all listen in? (Sort of like they do for the annual reports of big companies.) Love to hear all their opinions.

If you think the theories HERE are outrageous - you should here the scenarios that WE come up with! LOL! it's amazing what we get our twisted minds into, especially when my brothers are relaxing off duty after partaking of quite a few brewskies!

I couldn't agree more. Then, seeing one doesn't have to answer to a higher law/God, then a downward spiral begins...people become a law unto themselves...."if I think its okay, then it is". The logical outcome, no absolutes, moral relativism.

Where I stand at this point...
"It is better a hundred guilty men go free than one innocent be punished." -- Thomas Jefferson
Plenty of reasonable doubt in this case. I'm still not convinced of his guilt or innocence, but based on our rule of law, I'd have to acquit on what has been presented to date.

One morning I was listening to Dr. Laura & she read a letter from a lady who said she was one of the jurors on that Avila trial..basically the letter explained how the lady felt terrible....evidentally, as one stated already, it was a matter of no physical evidence, children testifying & some of the jurors thought that the mothers may have been lying to "get revenge"... who knows for what...maybe the women were ex-girlfriends or something.
Anyhow, its a shame when true criminals are let free though..our justice system isn't perfect. I do feel horrible for that poor little girl & for her family I saw pics of her, she was a beautiful child....for me, the conclusion is WATCH YOUR LITTLE ONES LIKE A HAWK!!!!!!

Jaded..I am still confused on the dry cleaner claim check recpts found in the SUV....one was dated 1/26 and one was 2/4..both for 3 articles.
Where did they find the 3rd recpt, the 2nd one from 2/4?

"you should here the scenarios that WE come up with" and you should HEAR them too...... Geesh! methinks I need a spelling refresher course!!! :(
To: Rheo
I'm guessing they did not find the 3rd receipt (or found it later in the RV and it did not matter. They just went to the drycleaners and asked for Westerfield's stuff. These are certainly the worst cleaner's receipts I have ever scene. No way to match up what was submitted to the computer printouts that came with the clothes.

some of the jurors thought that the mothers may have been lying to "get revenge"..Yet another liberal feminist societal injustice coming home to roost. There were many men accused of child abuse in divorce cases just to get a better deal, and it worked for a while; but then the pendulum started to swing the other way and judges just dismissed those accusations out of hand.....and little Samantha suffered as a result.

scene = seen .... I should be awake by now.

Reflecting on the time it is taking the jury to reach a decision, I can only believe that it strengthens DW's heart. The DA had one chance for a conviction, and that was based on emotion. An emotional decision would be a relatively quick one. Once the jury starts to really examine the evidence, like they appear to be doing, I can only think that all of the holes in the DA's case will come to light.

This confuses me (surprise!), he had just come from the cleaners the 2nd time on 2/4, in his SUV...the 1st 2 receipts are there but the 3rd isn't??
Unless they took those 2 receipts the morning they talked to him..prior to him going to the cleaners the 2nd time...and without a warrant.??

I agree Dave, they are past the "emotions"...looking at the physical evidence, which benefits DW.
If you remove yourself from the emotional aspect of this case, you can view the fibres as transferable, the print/dna/hair as being in there at a prior time (at least a reasonable doubt), no DW dna anywhere near the abduction site.
Question, did the dogs even pick up dw's scent "anywhere on the vd property...yard, back yard, etc.?

I see that you are in California, but once lived in Mayes County. Back in the early 50's, Miss Mayes was my junior high school English teacher in Tulsa. We always called her an Indian Princess, inasmuch as she was the Chief's daughter. Fifty years later, probably most know nothing about the Mayes family. I always felt honored to have known her.
