as mentioned above, when confronted with the choice a few weeks back, I had to go with the US made product. I do feel that the G35 is faster and will run the cones better, but I bought it for a business/everyday car and if our industry makes a good product, it is false thinking for me to buy the import that sends the wrong message to those I do business with for just a little pedal-to-the-metal rush.

I truely ended up feeling that 60,000 miles into ownership the CTS will still feel solid and the Infiniti will feel like a Nissan rice-burner.

I was reading where Dodge is coming out with a Hot Rod Truck in 03 built for speed, any details?

Called the SRT 10
It will have some body changes
It will be a regular cab short bed
It will have the VIPER V10 engine good for 500 Ponies and stick shift
It will be a real beast

Ford is coming out with its own 500-hosepower supercar next year, the GT-40:

Looks like the day is approaching wherein Americans will have "exoticars" built by the "big three" right here at home. Perhaps sports cars will enjoy another golden age.

Yes, I'm hangin' tight; since GM is using the C6 platform on the Cad CTS and the C6 to optimize its sales volume. The C6 captures the design influence of the C3, coupled with the performance of the C5 LS1..and beyond.

With three kids out the door and on their own, my wife and I can attest to the value and virtue of a C5 'vette ownership. May you live to see the day.

I still have three kids at home (all tall) so I have convinced myself it's not what you drive, but where you drive it that makes life fun.
My minivan full of kids last night on the way home from Six Flags Over Texas

Best Buy Sports Cars? The Audi TT is awesome for the price. Five speeds forward, excellent handling and acceleration. A great buy. Fun to drive.

The Corvette is also an excellent value for all that muscle, if you are stuck on buying American. Not a very comfortable cockpit.

The Lexus SC 430 is too expensive ($60K+) for this report ... but it has a sweet Levensen sound system and the interior is classier than the Porsche.

When money is not an object ... without going overboard ... few cars can beat my baby, the Porsche 911 Turbo ... the suspension outdrives them all in handling and confidence.
