Don't know what info they wanted....but am convinced they wanted to hedar his words for voice inflection, pauses, see if they were lots of "uhs" "ums", "coughing", hesitating, etc. None of which comes thru on the tape. The way to "read" an audio tape is with the ears, not eyes as would be the case in the transcript only.

Right to fair trial preempts right to free press in my book and broadcasting what went on in a closed door session IMO violates the gag order and someone needs to be spanked for that. I can't wait for RR to be jailed for contempt for refusing to give up his source. LOL I think he went over the line this time.

If court TV could report things right like the underwear, steam cleaning, bleach smell etc they might have some credibility, but in my book they have shot themselves in the thigh. (yes a little closer to home than the foot)

I'd love to find the closing in it's entirety.

This is from one of the affadavits -

"During the initial check it was discovered that a neighbor residing at 11995 Mountain View Drive, identified as David Westerfield, was not home. Most all immediate neighbors were at home and contacted."

Most means not all.

Since I have not had CTV for very long, today was my first day to hear the taped audio interview. To me DW sounded like he had nothing to hide and rather pleasant. On another issue, if neighborhood homes were checked Saturday, how did DW KNOW the VDs were not going to check on Danielle that Friday evening? The house to house check could have begun that Friday night (had they checked on their kids and called LE), and if we believe the prosecution Danielle was in his home at that time (and later somehow he got the MH and then got her into the MH without anyone knowing). Someone please correct me if I have my facts wrong, but isn't that what the prosecution wants us to believe? Waaaay too many questions for me (not to mention he couldn't have dumped her body either).

BTW, the short video that I saw, had feldman implying that BVD "knew" DW much better than she has implied.

I've already gone on record saying I don't think he is guilty.

Now, having said that - I've read all the back-n-forth on this thread about the "I've never been invited" in answer the question "have you ever been there". To me, that is not answering the question. If someone asks me if I have ever been to or in someone's house, the answer is either yes or no. Just because I have never been invited doesn't necessarily mean I haven't been there. Did he ever specifically say "No"??

I forget where the transcripts are but my memory says that this was asked of one of the officers that questioned Westerfield during the preliminary hearing. It was established that an officer was assigned to search all the houses within a certain area and that two of them went unsearched as of Monday. One empty and one Westerfields.

I believe that was brought up to show why they questioned him to begin with.

It was a compound or two part question, Redden interrupted himself and added about the parties, which do you answer? Redden could have clarified, but did he want to or being an expert did he want to elicit that exact answer which could be twisted? I think the latter, this time I give the PD credit.
