"And all without girls in mini skirts too."

One Susan Ivanova is worth many girls in miniskirts.

These days I've seen a lot more of "Klingon Assault Groups" in ST fandom than Federation types. I dunno, but I think it's a sign that people are fed up with the PC-ness represented by the Federation and just wanna be starfaring Mongol hordes for a change. The KAG is a lot more fun at parties too... Like I also see in the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism). No PC-ness there, lotsa stick-bashing armoured types and Vikings, heh-heh...

50's sci-fi flicks are the greatest!

How can such classics as The Blob, Earth vs the Flying Saucers, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and Them!, ever be topped?

And who can forget the mother of all 50's flicks, Forbidden Planet!

Self-search bump.

The only problem with B5 and DS9 were their very strength; the week-to-week story arcs which made it critical to follow the shows closely. I was in grad school at the time, and consequently had a very difficult time keeping up... I will now buy the DVDs...

Sorry, I don't get the Sci-fi channel. My cable company gave me Oxygen instead. Can I sue them for this?

I do watch StarGate on Fox when I can find it (it gets pre-empted an awful lot) but I think they run about a season behind.
