Speaking of mild digestive upsets, I wonder where "FormerLurker" went...... the sound of crickets on this thread are deafening. Perhaps he's busy shopping for a new tin-foil toupe.....

Well, thanks for thinking of me longshadow, I hope you didn't spend all weekend at your PC just waiting for me to respond to you.

I DO have a life other than typing away at FR you know..

I have to seriously wonder if you REALLY DO have a Degree in Mathematics, from a major university or otherwise.

He's been walking the walk on this forum for longer than you've been here, for sure. Since I've been paying attention.

What a POS that fake circle is. I didn't realize how bad those bufoons are. Compare it to the latest best one>>

The image that you posted in post #309 as shown below WAS NOT created by the so called 'circle makers', even thought they DO deceptively link it on their site as if they DID create it.

This has already been explained in a prior post, but I'll post a link to the article again just FYI..

A look at the claims of a 'leading' group of supposed circle makers

For you to state that the Golden Ratio and the Fibonacci numbers are relics of a bygone era and are simply obsolete curiosities,.....

I see you've gone from bluster to outright fabrication.

Nowhere have I said what you attribute to me. I have not said on word about Fibonacci. What I DID say is that "Sacred Geometry" and it's "vibrational resonances" is simply not a mainstream topic in modern Mathematics, and you haven't provided a single piece of evidence to the contrary.

I have repeatedly asked you to show that top-50 University Math Departments teach "Sacred Geometry" as part of the Mathematics degree curriculum (not some non-technical "History of Math for Art Majors" course), and you've provided nothing, zilch. If it is such an important topic in Mathematics, why aren't there courses being taught in it at all the top schools?

Your massive links about Fibonacci numbers, etc., are a red-herring; I'm well aware of them and the fact that they come up in a variety of contexts. That doesn't make "Sacred Geometry" with it's "vibrational resonances" an important topic.

So, I repeat, they relevant indicator of the importance of "Sacred Geometry" is whether or not it is part of the course curriculum in well-regarded Math Departments; so I reiterate my challenge to you yet again; show me that the top-50 schools are teaching courses in "Sacred Geometry" including its "vibrational resonances" as part of the Math degree program.

Absent a showing of the Mathematical importance of "Sacred Geometry" with its "vibrational resonances", your assertion that Space Aliens are likely trying to communicate said "Sacred Geometry" including its "vibrational resonances" to us by squashing symbols in farmers' fields is ludicrous. It makes about as much sense as Earthlings travelling the galaxy to a distant planet in order to leave the imprint of a "Wonder Bread" advertisement in an alien meadow.

Golly, it seems I have a decision to make. Shall I accept that longshadow really does know his math, or shall I accept the expertise of FormerLurker? How shall I -- a non-math major -- make this momentous decision?

Well, I've seen longshadow hold his own for a year or two, whenever mathematical topics have come up. He's done this many times in conversations with some others who are obviously well-versed in math. This I've seen for myself. And he says he's got a degree in math from a major university. That must count for something. Especially since I've never known him to lie, or even exaggerate.

On the other hand, we have FormerLurker, who has not claimed any degrees in any subject, but who is quite obviously obsessed with "sacred geometry" and the alien origin of crop circles. I've never encountered him before, except on this thread. He claims that longshadow is a bozo. And surely that must count for something too.

This is a difficult decision. I just can't remember when I've been so confused.

I see you've gone from bluster to outright fabrication.

Nowhere have I said what you attribute to me. I have not said on word about Fibonacci.

Are you now saying that you didn't post the following statement?

Your extensive links on "phi" and it's relation to "Mandlebrot sets" and Fibonacci numbers, etc., merely reaffirms my previous objection: it, like all of "Sacred Geometry" is a Mathematical curiosity, a legacy of a mystical era in Mathematics, that today is nothing more than a hobby or curiousity for a few Mathematicians.

What I DID say is that "Sacred Geometry" and it's "vibrational resonances" is simply not a mainstream topic in modern Mathematics, and you haven't provided a single piece of evidence to the contrary.

And where pray tell have I ever said that "Sacred Geometry" or "Vibrational Resonances" ARE a mainstream topic in modern Mathematics? Why should I prove something that I've never claimed? I've only stated that MANY mainstream concepts ARE in fact derived from that which IS termed "Sacred Geometry". I've proved it with the Fibnocci numbers and related material, as the Golden Mean IS ONE item of so-called "Sacred Geometry" from the ancients.

As I said earlier, you harp and screech about these so-called "vibrational resonances". I only provided a definition that I had found concerning "Sacred Geometry" and had no other comment concerning it. YOU are the one that is treating it as a major item here, not me....

On the other hand, we have FormerLurker, who has not claimed any degrees in any subject,

Anyone can claim anything they want on FR. I could in fact claim I have a PhD in Physics. I could claim I walk on water. What is said and what is true isn't necesarily the same thing...

Don't compound your credibility problems. You have already claimed that aliens are squishing our asparagus crops. Isn't that more than enough silliness -- even for you?

Not at all. Your credibility obviously means nothing to you, so why should it mean anything to anyone else?

I've never noticed you on the physics threads. A physicist whose been around FR since 99 would have showed there, hmmm? Maybe you could pose as an OrkinTM Man. What's that? You really are an OrkinTM Man?
