Thank you for the post. I'm completely on the opposite side of what is normal for me. I worked in dispatch for a police dept. and still am haunted by things I heard and saw. The officers I worked with were like family. What they dealt with daily was unbelievable. If I thought DW was guilty(proven) I would gladly applaud his execution. Because I have doubts about HIS guilt does not mean that I don't care deeply about the death of little Danielle. And it gets on my last nerve to be accused of not caring! End of rant.

ALL OF US, are tremendously sad for Danielle. The pain that little girl went thruogh the last two weeks of her life at the hands of a sadistic child killer was horrible.

The only problem is that if that is true, then Westerfield is the wrong man, he couldn't have done it.

John,Danielle will point to her killer and has forgiven them.I went to Mass today,feast of St Anne,grandmother of Jesus and I prayed for all,Mr Westerfields's family and Danielle's family and for the truth in her name.

"We have thought about the future," Unreal is right. I have yet to see a missing child case where the parents are thinking of moving on in 7 days. Most of the parents are afraid people will move on and give up looking for their missing child. Did you see Chandra Levy's parents talking about moving on in 7 days or 7 months? No. The VDs are not right I tell ya. If you can think of the future when your child has been missing only 7 days, you must be seriously detached IMHO. I realize in these high profile cases the parents are under a lot of scrutiny, but the VDs have said things that raise a red flag for me. They have no regrets about that night Danielle was taken either according to what BVD said on Larry King.
