Oh Carolina, that looks darned good. Poor one for me, will ya?
To: Endeavor
Sure thing!

Chocolate goes well with cognac.

Well shucks! So while you were in Peoria, did you stop at the local deli to test the political winds? That's where I do all my polling,, at the Hy-Vee deli. The dudes (and dudettes who sit at another table) there are always on the mark.
I don't do much reading in the summertime. Any spare time is spent rejuvenating my gardens, which seem to expand every year whether I actually have the time to do the additional work.
I will be in the People's Republic of Johnson County (Iowa City for the unaware) tomorrow and will stop at Barnes & Nobel for a copy of Slander. I don't know when I will find the time to read it,,, maybe Thanksgiving weekend.
To: Iowa Granny
Well, heck Gran, I didn't know which deli to ck out. I have to go back over there tomorrow for the entire day (yawn) so will look for some local deli dudes and dudettes.
I didn't realize Iowa City was such a bastion of liberalism. Madison, WI sure is. I always feel like I'm among the walking dead when I have to go to Madison. Too bad, too since it is such a gorgeous place.
To: Carolina
Mmmmm, I'll take a chocolate, thanks!

Beach Music" by Pat Conroy - it's such a good book that I have, for years, refused to read the end because I didn't want it to endYeah, I hate it when Conroy's books end....
To: Endeavor
Madison, WI sure is. I always feel like I'm among the walking dead when I have to go to Madison. You can say that again. It's because of the college. There are alot of very manly women there, too. It sure explains Fiengold, though.
To: Endeavor
Madison/Iowa City, they are one in the same. I'm headed for Madison on Thursday to spend a few days with friends. I will take my hip boots to wear while reading the newpapers.
