BTW was this a typo? Outting "Under God"...
Is God Gay??? That is a Typo.
He certainly seemed straight when he was over at the house this weekend.

Well, Swervie, the money no longer say: "This note is legal tender for all debts public and private, and is redemable in silver at the Federal Reserve Bank" Or even: "This note is legal tender for all debts public and private, and is redemable in lawfull money at the Federal Reserve Bank"
We have to trust in God ....
We have FIAT Money, and anyone who has ever owned a FIAT knows just how much trouble we are in.
We have to rely on the "Greater Fool Theory" and hope that there is always someone dumber than us to take the money in exchange for goods or services.

My kids heard the Pledge news on TV and are really disgusted. The liberal crowd wouldn't have a problem with a pledge to the world or to the environment, but to the Republic of America... YIKES! How nationalist.
To: ValerieUSA
Some ex-ACLU lawyer/MSNBC law expert said his 5 year daughter came home from school one day and said she was "uncomfortable" using GOD in the pledge!?
He is either making this up or has completely brainwashed his daughter!
To: ValerieUSA
Like sex-ed, cant they just have the offended kids leave the room during the pledge?

He is either making this up or has completely brainwashed his daughter! But this lawyer probably sees it as Christians brainwashing their children, and trying to brainwash his.

He is either making this up or has completely brainwashed his daughter! He has indoctrinated his child, which is exactly what a Christian does, "put doctrine into" their child.

Like sex-ed, cant they just have the offended kids leave the room during the pledge? What was wrong with the original pledge. Can't we just take the awkward sounding insertion "under God" back out so that the pledge flows smoothly off the lips as the author intended?

I doubt it. Outting "Under God" in the Pledge and putting "In God We Trust" on the money were two of the most pointless things ever done. 10 Bucks says you are wrong

The liberal crowd wouldn't have a problem with a pledge to the world or to the environment, but to the Republic of America... YIKES! How nationalist. The complaint is about the insertion of "under God" into the Pledge. It P!SSED ME OFF IN 1954, and I still hate it. It makes the whole pledge awkward and ugly as it is spoken. Why don't we stick "Under God" into the Star Spangled Banner in a few spots. It wouldn't screw it up any worse than it did the pledge.

But this lawyer probably sees it as Christians brainwashing their children, and trying to brainwash his. Lisa .. his daughter was not forced to say the pledge .. the school did not make her say it and they did not ask her to leave the room
But the 9th Circuit just took my child's 1st Amendment right away from them

"Under God" is all inclusive, as opposed to governments where the people are under the rule of kings or dictators who are alone at the top of the food chain. In America, we all answer to God, the President, the dogcatcher, the teacher, the student, the grocer -- we exist on the same plane - under God. One nation, under God. I am an American.

In America, we all answer to God: the President, the dogcatcher, the teacher, the student, the grocer, you, me - we exist on the same plane - equal under God.

The ruling doesn't cover your state.
None of us ever had an absolute right to say anything or believe anything. They can believe whatever you want them to. They can say almost anything you want them to, but they can't say some things in some places.

Can't we just take the awkward sounding insertion "under God" back out Then it would be awkward sounding to me, I wasnt "forced to say it until 1972.... just kidding, your point is well taken.
