Sorry about the language, but that's a horrible call. The linesman should have called it - it's his job to judge whether the ball goes across the line, and he sure as hell should have seen the handball while watching that play..

I'd heard that the German keeper was really, really good, but I'd never seen him play until now. You are correct. He looks like that guy "Drago" in Rocky III too.
I asked the German lady here to translate what the TV announcer was saying about him in German.
She said "The goal keeper is a candy!"
Whaaaaaat?
"No, no, he said, umm, he is a LifeSaver, jah!"

Just found the game on Univision. It's in native Texan so I can't follow the commentary too well.

Any spanish speakers ATTENTION -- watch the game on UNIVISION. It is several minutes ahead of ESPN!

I agree....they keep showing Germany's goals/attempts on the replay, but ignore all the US attempts.

USA putting on heavy pressure since the beginning of the 2nd half.

Actually, this is starting like a repeat of the first half, with us getting chances regularly and their keeper coming up huge.
Then they scored and we were lucky they didn't score more.
