I have been watching this World Cup a bit and am becoming a soccer fan. I joked to a friend that the U.S.A. winning the World Cup would be all that the rest of the world could take, and thus start WWIII...JFK

England lost and America is coming on soon. Any reason not to open a bottle of wine?
I am new to soccer. Is it considered bad manners to drink Cabernet while watching the World Cup - I mean, as long as one waits until 7:00 a.m. to begin.

Too early for beer, how 'bout a Bloody Mary?

I wouldn't mind switching to brewskis myself, but I'm chairing a meeting today and one of our VPs would rupture himself trying to figure out where that brewery smell was coming from ;)
Coffee (pygmy-arrow dipping strength of course) for me, I'm afraid.

Pre game show's begun on Univision --- Spanish language network here in Los Angeles (Channel 34) and American fans look decidedly upbeat. :)

Anyone know what the current line is? The krauts must be heavy favorites I would assume.
