I watched an interview with him once. I think he has been struck at least twice the number of times you cited. I remember that he said that once lightning actually came through the window and hit him. He added that when a thunderstorm is in the area that his family makes him sit alone in a chair in the middle of an interior room in the house.
I think the Admin Moderator got this one right. Rational discourse did not seem to be this guy's strong suit. We all stray from the path now and then but unfounded racist and sexist posts aren't useful to the general exchange of opinions and comments.
LOL! It's a wonder to me that they even let him stay in the house during storms.
Me,too.
Rational discourse did not seem to be this guy's strong suit.
I VAGUELLY remember his screen name from some threads a couple of years ago,and don't remember anything like the quotes. I SERIOUSLY think he has developed mental problems, and needs help. You're right, though. There is no such thing as a rational discussion with someone who has a disturbed mind.
I have a heap of trouble believing that.
Then there are those who advertise bannings with pride.
Badge of honor?
How about this?
That was an extracurricular activity at my school. What do you think fed the boiler?
Of course, my response would normally be someting like: "Ohhh, but who is childish enough to actually go and do that?"
THEN, I remembered Eschior and it all became clear..
(I can just picture him in the parking lot at a FReep.. Keying cars and giggling to himself.)
Can't say I agreed with the call but it was only for three days. Gave me a chance to catch up on yard work so it worked out.
That was my first time. I had been under the impession that FReepmail still worked but I guess not. Perhaps that was a previous version of FR.
Anyhow, no grudge and my check is forthcoming.
FReegards
For once we are in agreement, Donnie Shupe (his principal) was right!
Any luck finding new work?
But he didn't take his marbles, they were handed to him, and he was sent home.
Hello eddie: I have no idea why s/he used dejure. . . But in my case, here's why I do it. . . just for the record !!!
De jure. . . Descriptive of a condition in which there has been total compliance with all requirements of law.
Of right; legitimate; lawful; by right and just title. In this sense it is the contrary of De facto !!!
Black's Law Dictionary 5th Ed. p.382
Speaking of flame wars, I think the lot of us should have been banned during the Elian thing!
Oh my.. Dude, we were bad!
(on which, we now share the same opinion, btw)
Not supposed to! Gotta rage first!
Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light
Rofl.. yeah, we tease a friend of mine the same way.
Tell him we promise to say good things about him on the news!
Now you've gone and mucked up a really funny parody by mixing latin and french...and the proof is that there is ...
no magnum opus for you!

I too find the change in Free Republic distressing. I think Jim has been compromised by the lawsuit as you will find only government approved post left on this sight.
I have been a member of FR since 1998 and a lurker for longer than that and find that I no longer get a diverse opinion from the posts here. Censorship in any form is repugnant and it breaks my heart to see a powerful vehicle such as FR compromised in this way....a sad day indeed.
