You must have gone crazy with your server down. What did you do for six hours, sleep? Or go to the bar and fill up on Tapa's, and wine.. Mmmmmm... I'll bet you didn't suffer much at all... You just want us to feel sorry for you when all the time you had a ball...

You are right Bonsai Kittens are too much –but I did put "Parody" in teeny tiny letters
so the good ladies will not be too upset with me for giving them a heart attack.

Apparently some students at MIT though this one up. If you do a Google search
on Bonsai Kitten you will get the full story

I took ice cubes with me when we got into car when it was 107°
I thought I would hold one to my forehead
after I did that
I put it down the halter of my sundress
it felt funny sittin' in car with ice cube slithering down
but it was cooling
Love, Palo

One good thing about you recounting all your foibles is that it shows your memory isn't fading yet;-)So, when you do get through devouring a cake, finding truffles, cracking yer whip, landing a snook, and practicing the Immaculate Conception Part deux with the Westy(after you dance nude and make potions), you will be able to recall it all for your grandchildren.Such pride they must have in you ;-)

I was struck with a thought the other day, reading one of Don-O's posts, how much he sounded like old roue and chivalrous gent, Le Comte AC de DC.Same aristocratic language and old world breeding ;-)

Those darned Alanteans.. they had to screw up everything.. 77 is perfect. Why don't you empty that damned tub and get in it to cool off more often.. That heat sounds unbearable..

I remember when we lived in El Cajon in Calif.. It used to hit 115 some days in the summer. Add to that Santa Anna winds.. We had no airconditioning, no pool..and ceiling to floor windows that nothing I owned kept the sun out of. My son and I spent the day in the tub.. There was no other way of survival.. Hated it!!!

heheh - you noticed. I stayed on FR most all day yesterday - no cheeseburger.
A nice roasty chicken sandwich sufficed as I surfed.
Headed to the grocers to be a bad Jew today.
Your dad will be proud of me. bbl

I pledged on Thon to feed all my hostages a nice jalapeno cheese slice for every new donation.

I think this was just an act of vandalism and will not be repeated this year at least so I will be able to access the Internet.

Companies out –source because it is cost effective and often much more effective in other ways too. The Unions all over Europe are very strong and that is why the is 12% to 15 % unemployment. Once someone has been with a company three years – it is almost impossible to fire or lay them off, and there are also more benefits to which they are entitled. So people are hired for short term contracts, and unless you work for a major corporation your job will never last more than a couple of years

. Small companies just cannot afford it, there are always lawsuits and the laws are written in such a way as the company can never win a labor dispute. Consequently, there is a huge underground economy which really is bad for everyone. But the laws make is necessary. Companies like Telefonica can handle this the just jack up their prices. But most other companies are not able to do that and remain competitive.

. American's call it the European disease.
