When we moved to where we are now living, we changed sat. providers and now get FOX News...I have been stuck for YEARS with only CNN for English-speaking news.
What a difference...FOX has it figured out.

LOL! Thanks Loddy, yes, it's kind of hard to maintain my cover when I'm apparently the only active FReeper from Chile. There were some other registrants, but looks like I'm the only active one.

I hear ya. Thanks to Fox I can watch the news without screaming at the TV. LOL. The best news/politics/analysis on television, bar none, is Special Report with Brit Hume. I also like Shep Smith's news broadcast. Well, ... ok... I like Shep's twinkling eyes, too.

Mrs. Cuttnhorse likes Shep's show...she gets a boot out of how irreverent he is...and she thinks he's cute too. But she doesn't want to hurt my feelings, so she only tells me that once or twice during the program.

I'm still trying to find out whatever became of that woman Shep ran over to get his vehicle parked. Anyone know?
Swept under the rug and quietly settled?

As I recall, it was during the Florida election debacle, and Shep was late for filming something. A female media worker was trying to hold a parking place for her station's vehicle to use when Shep decided his vehicle was mightier than the chick's bod.

He didn't kill her or anything, but jammed her good enough for the cops to either cite, or arrest him - my mind is gone - sorry, I forget which.

Anyhow, there was supposed to be a trial, but I've never learned the outcome of the situation.

It happened during those 35 nightmarish days of the 2000 elecion, in Palm Beach or Ft Lauderdale, I think it was, Shep bumped a fellow newsperson with his car. It was reported mostly by the liberal press for two reasons... he works for a conservative news group and the person he bumped was a female. She stood in an empty public parking space trying to hold it for her crew. Shep pulled up in his car, waited for her to move, tooted the horn, rolled down the window and asked her to move. She was adamant in her refusal. He inched the car forward, bumped her she leapt forward he parked his car and went inside to do his live broadcast. When he finished his report he was arrested. It must have been resolved out of court because the charges were ultimately dropped. I didn't have any sympathy for her, you can't hold a public parking space on a public street. If someone makes a genuine effort to get you to move and you refuse.... well... It wasn't exactly a gracious or gentlemanly decision but her behavior wasn't that of a lady either. LOL. I can't say that I wouldn't have wanted to do the same thing to her.

Well, ... ok... I like Shep's twinkling eyes, too.

Sometimes I am watching something else, and I sure wish I had a little red warning light that would start blinking and let me know Shep was getting ready to go off on some gomer, so I could switch channels in time to see it.

FOFLOL. Isn't it great ? I just love it when he does that. If you''re watching him you can see it coming in those eyes. Shep is an Ole Miss grad, during football season he's been known to send out a shout to the Ole Miss Rebels. LOL

Hi yall... the dentist has finally let Gavin loose - and Gavin's mouth is tender and will be for about 10 days. The dentist wanted to do another root canal then, but I'll wait and see how fast Gavin recovers from this one before making the next appointment.

You're right about that obnoxious woman trying to hold that parking space for her crew while they went to get her lunch. You leave for lunch, you find another parking space when you get back. That's part of the thrill of public parking on busy streets. She continued to work that day herself - she wasn't suffering any significant injury except hyperextended indignation aggravated by a flare up of her chronic huffandpuffery.
