My dogs are WAY TOO STUPID and clumsy to ever be considered for such delicate training.

i was proud of my dog today... she rushed to point out a black snake hiding in the bush, so my six year old would know it was there... then she sniffed my butt and gave me a clean bill of health.

i believe the freepathon would be better touted as a "save the Senate" campaign.... or a give now, cause when the dems take over, you won't have any left....

interesting story of bill blass' wwII participation... he was part of an elite group of soldiers, whose primary job was to appear to the enemy as a bigger and badder fighting force... a decoy unit actually.... i believe the book is called the shadow brigade or something like that...

Really? That's a surprise. I would never have guessed.... I guess I'm guilty of stereotyping.

yes, they were sworn to secrecy and actually found themselves very close to annihilation as the germans pressed forward in the battle of the bulge, they were pretending to be a larger division when a smaller division radioed them for support... with phony tanks and things, they were of no help... but the smaller division never forgave the "imaginery" division for failing to come to their aid.... eventually there was a new division which was given the number of the imaginary one, and they were booed and called cowards whenever the two met...

was this as confusing as i think it is?

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I met him briefly (very briefly LOL) once at a charity ball. LOL. He just retired about 2 years ago and I've not been real impressed with his hand picked successor. He used to be one of my favorites for classic designs.

I think I comprehend it.... I'll say I do, anyway. *LOL*

Knives are dangerous, as demonstrated in gun-free Sydney:

Thursday June 13, 01:17 PM

Man charged over triple murder

A 21-year-old man was charged with the triple murder of a Sydney couple and their teenage daughter. The man was charged at Chatswood police station after being arrested this morning by detectives who executed a search warrant at a nearby home unit.
Teddy Gonzales, 46, his wife Loiva, 43, and daughter Clodine, 18, were all knifed to death in their North Ryde home in July last year. The throats of both women were slashed.

A home unit? Is that Australia's version of public housing?

Thanks teeman8r, I had no idea he'd ever been in the military much less involved in something like that.

That pair of mountain climbers who wanted to get married at the summit of Mt Rainier, but didn't quite make it to the top, just got married in the hospital.

Just exactly how much warning did they need?!?!
