I think we found the guy who invented the way to fold the $20 bill.

Only the man behind the curtain can solve this riddle. What is Roger Waters really trying to tell us?

Not too many months ago, Turner Classics or AMC offered WIZARD OF OZ with the Pink Floyd alternate soundtrack on their SAP audio channel.
A brilliant example of repackaging a classic movie - and very, very interesting as well.

Not quite as good as a push of IV Morphine while watching Bugs Bunny (Happened while recovering from shoulder surgery)
Seemed to reveal the meaning of life at the time, but somehow I've forgotten what it was

I'm hard pressed envisioning the members of Pink Floyd sitting around the studio thinking aloud "hey, we should sync our next album to The Wizard of Oz..." I'm hard pressed envisioning some dweeb sitting around his dorm room thinking aloud "hey, we should sync Dark Side Of The Moon to The Wizard Of Oz..."

I know I know, the lunatics are in my hall. But I can't resist.

Same thing happened to me after dental surgery with Ford Fairlaine.

"Oh by the way, which ones Pink"? I could tell you about the movie that line syncs up to, but this is a family-oriented forum.

ROFLMAO!

I still listen to "Meddle".....
My personal favorite is either "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" (with Syd) or else "Animals".

I'm wholly embarrassed to say I've done this and it totally comes out the way you describe. This was 8-10 years ago on a VHS tape too. It's just completely, oddly coincidental.I made my friend do it on several different occasions because I was in dis-belief,and half through the "Dewars Bag".I think the original person who made the decision to do this, thinking "Well, I wonder what would happen if I played...",you know? What a total Whack-job that person was.If you do it before or after the 3rd roar it completely negates every point.Talk about trying to 'Make' something happen from nothing.(And totally succeeding)

The Wall were also written about Syd Barrett
Not exactly. Per Roger Waters, the Wall has more to do with his falling into the excesses of stardom & his childhood (with a little of Syd thrown in there for good measure).

Late Night Thoughts on Listening to Mahler's Ninth Symphony by Thomas Lewis comes to mind. (I've never read the book of course; I have read the symphony.)

Now I know why my dorm RA considered this album to be drug paraphenalia.

The best part about aging is that you can get the exact same effect by standing up quickly. LOL!!!
