Hellooooooooo..........
To: Mo1
Why is the whole nation supposed to care about Chandra obsessively, and not about the hundreds of other young people who were murdered last year? She wasn't special.... not by a long shot. She didn't deserve to be murdered, I'm sure, but she wasn't sensible or stable or honorable, and probably never would have developed character or morals.
There have been far more tragic losses to American families and communities with the deaths of soldiers - I'm thinking especially of some of the wonderful young Marines who died in Osprey accidents last year. Those helicopters were poorly designed and constructed at enormous cost, both in tax dollars and human lives. Yet Congress hasn't held anyone accountable for this massive failure. Why haven't journalists called for investigations? Hmmmm... maybe they would if congressmen were taking sexual favors by young tramps in Washington DC as payment for their votes to approve contracts to build Ospreys.....
To: null and void
Oh hi nully --- I'm sick of the Chandra coverage.... and the acceptance of the new FBI as spies on Americans.... I'm more in favor of completely disbanding the agency and telling American citizens to arm and protect themselves and their country.

I'm sick of the Chandra coverageno kidding...
To: null and void
I ranted, didn't I? Not a major rant, but just enough to feel better without accomplishing anything.
To: null and void;ValerieUSA
Well, we're going to be getting a lot of it for the next several months. I just hope they solve it quickly and justice is served. Yeah, I know, but it COULD happen.
To: ValerieUSA
I can actually understand the coverage in the sense that she could be anybody's daughter. I have thought about this because Dawn is going to be 24 this year and she has made some stupid choices too. Then I just ran across this:
She was everyone's child
To: sweetliberty
This Chandra obsession is unhealthy - reporters and "experts" are making fools of themselves with the constant commentary and now some idiot writer has a column mourning Chandra as "everyone's child" - she was a grown woman, not a child, and her family is nothing like mine!
To: sweetliberty
*LOL* I commented on that thread, it's what got me started on the rant here.
To: ValerieUSA
Oh, now I see that you already saw it.
To: ValerieUSA
Well, I know that I raised Dawn to know right from wrong, to take commitment seriously, to take care about the choices she makes and to keep her priorities straight and I can only trust that at some level it sank in, but even though she is technically a grown woman, she is always going to be my child and making bad choices does not negate a person's good traits, and she has a lot of them. It's just easier to focus on what is wrong and not what is right, especially when it is somebody else's child.
I agree that the coverage gets absurd, but isn't that always the way when it involves scandal and politicians? Not saying it's right, just that that's how it is. Actually, I think from this point on her family would prefer to have things kept quieter, but you know that when if they link Condit to this thing, it's going to get really ugly and sadly humiliating for them. I don't presume to judge what kind of parents they are or what might have happened in Chandra's life had she lived, but regardless, she didn't deserve to die and they don't deserve to suffer like they are and it makes me very sad that such things happen and people get away with it, particularly when it involves people in positions of power who use that power at the expense of others.

I ranted, didn't I? Not a major rant, but just enough to feel better without accomplishing anything It was a pretty good rant .. But really Val .. You could do better .. I know you can .. try a little theycanallbitemyass .. that might work .. LOL
But in all seriousness .. did I spell that right .. oh hell who cares
As I was trying to say ..
I can't help but think .. with all this Chandra stuff ... isn't this how last summer started ??
I sure as hell hope it doesn't end like last year did

Looks like Ted Nugent is gonna be ragging on Ozzie on O'Reilly tonight. Of the 2, I would definitely have to say that Ted is the one with a functioning brain. Ozzie is pathetic.
