The hockey game was playing on the big screen TV at the pizza place tonight -- I saw the names of the teams, but didn't follow the game at all. The basketball playoffs were on when I went to the gym afterward, but I didn't pay attention to that either. I guess I can say, "yay team." This is baseball season dammit.

I'll watch the finals, but I'm moving to Cincinnati next week and I dont believe they have a pro hockey team. They do have brand new stadiums for the Reds and the Bengals!

I waited a good 30 seconds for reaching the threashold, I felt a final push was in order to clear the slate.

There is a hockey team called the Columbus Yellow Jackets. Not very good yet...but then Carolina wasn't either just a few years ago.

I've been watching and am favorably impressed with them. I still don't think they are as good as either of the other two teams they could play.

Icing is when the defensive team sends the puck backwards from their defensive zone into the opposing team's defensive zone without attempting to pass it to their own team as they progress through the various lines. the opposing team has to touch it first and then it comes back into the team's defensive zone it came out of.

Some old lady (50+) banged on my truck window after I picked up crystal from a grooming appointment. She wanted to know where I got such a pretty dog!

It turns out that she had a toy poodle for 17 years and had to have it put to sleep the previous friday. I told her she could have crystal if she treated her like a queen.

I hate to give Crystal up, but at least I have found a doting mother to treat her well.

I only bring them up to humour the poor haunted soul. It makes him feel better about his bear fantasies.

It is a very humiliating sport to learn. Even if you are a great athlete, you will fall off for at least 8 hours straight before you can actually pick up a good wind and turn around and come back.

Once you learn it is awesome...especially in an area that forms waves. Maybe Val will post the pic I sent her of lake Michigan windsurfing(I don't know how).
