It just proves that the years of artificial props for winning contracts (quotas) did not help them to become true competitors at all. The program was a failure. However, the liberal race-baiting Seattle politicians don't get it.

Hi Valerie. Nice spot? Good question. It's one of the fastest growing spots in the country located on IH35W, with new subdivisions sprouting up along the countryside and the IH frontage has every chain restaurant known to mankind along with the mandatory Lowes, HomeDepot, Sam'sClub, CircuitCity, etc.
Let's say it's not my retirement dream location. ;-)

Sounds generic. Totally unphotogenic. There is no quaintness or personality in these freeway "cities." It's one reason why I hope to keep my freeway travel to the minimum while on my road trip in July. You can see that America on TV commercials.

I have a theory about what should happen and to a degree is happening in South Carolina because of the whining black racists. The NAACP goes all out of their way to boycott the state of South Carolina over the Confederate flag. If regular Ameican citizens want to put the brakes on a lot of this race baiting this situation provides an excellent opportunity to do so.
Consider this. The Jesse Jacksons and other high profile mealy mouth blacks rant incessantly about being discriminated against and complain about the Stars and Bars because it represents slavery and is therefore offensive to them. Now to a true southerner, that flag is no less revered than the American flag and what they are doing is trying to bring down a powerful symbol of who we are as southerners. But it is more than that. Even as at the time of the war, it is the rights of states to govern themselves that is at issue and it is an issue whose repercussions extend far beyond the geographical boundaries of South Carolina or the south. Liberalism has catered to these people and the cumulative effect has been like a cancer on the land. It just might be that the cancer can be reversed in South Carolina and the effects have long term benefits for the entire nation.
Suppose that for every protest campaign launched by the NAACP a similar but larger campaign was launched in support of South Carolina. Encourage tourism. Plan vacations there...it is a beautiful state and one very rich in American and Confederate history. Find out what businesses are being targeted and go out of the way to buy from them and to encourage others to do so. In other words, make THEM (the troublemakers) responsible for the popularity of the state AND at the same time let them stand alone as the cause for the suffering of black businesses, because although they may niot be targeted, they will be the ones that suffer, particularly in the face of a counter-campaign which will support predominantly businesses which are targeted. If we could make this a pattern everywhere their shrill whining broke out, it wouldn't be too long before the counter attacks would be coming from their own ranks. Maybe it's time we use a few of the liberals' own "divide and conquer" tactics.

"It's one reason why I hope to keep my freeway travel to the minimum while on my road trip" It's a good plan. I often travel the back roads on road trips when I have the time because of the much greater feel for an area that you can get that way, and because it makes for better pictures. One frustration in doing that in the south though, at least in a lot of areas, is there are often no shoulders and a lot of good shots are missed because you just can't get off the road. Kentucky is the worst, and because it is such a beautiful state, particularly the rural areas, it is a constant source of frustration to me when I am there.

Good job Libby. Mrs. lodwick and I had a fantastic time in Charleston, and should be flayed for not scheduling more time to enjoy the surrounding area.
Right thinkers pay no attention to the poverty pimps regarding anything, much less their vacation or travel plans, and if the blacks that listen to jj and al stay away, well, they prolly couldn't afford to travel there anyway. Their absence is to be generally desired in my opinion. The blacks who know the truth, and there are many, don't let jj and al stand in the way of their succeeding in life.

I guess in a nutshell, the point I was trying to make is that if they keep it up they may end up promoting the very segregation they claim to despise, but then they won't be able to whine about it because it will be their own doing. As far as most of the businesses in the area, I'm sure they will be perfectly happy without the likes of them. It would just be an ironic justice.
The historical south is such a rich and beautiful and unique part of America and we must strive to preserve it at all costs and the whiners be d****d!

"NOT a passenger train" Well, thank God for that much.
To: sweetliberty; gratefulwharffratt
uh-oh.. you must be right. Ratt says it's always about me, so if he's gone missing, it must be my fault. I feel so empowered and dangerous now. I'm living up to my "redhead" reputation.

Well, the most amazing bit of speculation is going on at the Chandra Levy autopsy thread. Some dude is questioning why no DNA testing on the remains, someone else said it's not needed since dental records confirmed the identity. Then this clown says that they could have created dental evidence! So, I replied that oh, yeah, the ME got the dental records, then faked the teeth in a skull to exactly match Chandra's records, or they created dental records to match the skull and SAID it was Chandra. Then the dude replied to me that it coulda happened that way! aiyiyi.

Be careful, .38, keep arguing against their "logic" and you'll be called a gap-toothed hillbilly dentist.
To: ValerieUSA
LOL! I'm not going to bother with another reply, it would be a waste of my time, and just serve to further irritate me.

Can you see the white writing on this picture clearly? I can read it fine on my big old monitor, but it is completely washed out on my laptop screen

Horsepower race raging among automakers
Volkswagens with 12 cylinders? What's going on here?
Apparently, homosexuals like to go fast too.
Next thing you know, Gordon's 'Rainbow Warriors' will be wanting to run a passat at Lowes Motor Speedway.
