You, too ? FOFL. Yes, I know the details. LOL. We do love to dress up and so we're seriously thinking about going. If not, then at least do the contribution.

I didn't see any naked people last year either. I don't think there are that many of them. There were 75,000 registered runners/walkers this year, and many more who don't register by run or walk the course.

I'd love to go, but any cash we have right now is being stashed for a down payment on a house. I'll contribute, however.

and don't forget, besides dressing up, I'd have to act like I have some manners and behave myself a bit.

I just can't imagine attending the race, let alone running it. I cannot handle crowds like that.

Hehehe. Well, yes, I think reasonably good behavior is anticipated. Great news about the "House Fund". Are you excited ?

I don't like those crowd either, but it's important to my hubby, so I went. Like the dutiful wife I am. However, I am extracting a price!~

You just object to crowds like that handling you

I've been gone a lot lately and I must have missed the thread about this. Was it a 10K run ?

I think it was 12K. It goes from the bay side of San Francisco to Ocean Beach, around 7 1/2 miles. I mentioned on Friday that the Bay To Breakers run was coming up, and my husband was running in it, and I would go along like a dutiful wife and lend my support. Apparently Prentice remembered my "dutiful wife" comment. It is a huge deal around here, people dress in outlandish costumes, and some people even run naked.

"I cannot handle crowds like that."

Me either, to the point that I have cancelled out being places I really wanted to be or left someplace just because I couldn't deal with the crowd. Probably 2 of the ones I will kick myself for for years to come are the Pink Floyd concert in Denver a few years back ( I already had the tickets too ) and the Ramses exhibit at the museum of Natural History in Denver. I kept waiting for the crowds to thin out. They never did. Oh well.

Yep, I've contacted a mortgage broker to get pre-qualified, and need to start looking. Things are hideously expensive around here, so it takes a wad of cash for a down payment. I saw a charming (not) little place with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath on a postage stamp sized lot for $449,000. I think we'll extend our search outbound a ways.

Wow. Its a big deal just to finish one of those things. I'm sure your husband was proud. Uh-huh, there is always a price LOL

Aren't you glad Clinton didn't think of this?

He did. He had visions of all these little vile vials labled "EVIDENCE"

Goo, you're in for a lot of fun but a lot of frustrations too. That's what everyone says, real estate is grossly overpriced in that araa. So, don't get discouraged or too impatient, it may take a while to find the right place. :)
