Germany Readies for Bush Protests

BERLIN (AP)--More than 100 protests are planned across Germany to coincide with President Bush's visit next week, including one expected to draw tens of thousands of people to Berlin, organizers said Thursday.
A group calling itself ``Axis of Peace'' is organizing the main Berlin protest for next Thursday, saying it will bring together peace activists, anti-globalization protesters, human rights groups and many others. A group supporting the Palestinian cause is to protest separately, but at the same time.

Alan Keyes had 3 men on his show last night--Frank Gaffney, a Rich _____, former FBI agent, and _____ ______, of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy.
They were discussing intel, among other things, and Alan brought up that the National Security Advisor IS the person, established by Congress, to get in from the various sources like the FBI, the CIA, DOD, etc., and advise the Admin. And he indicated that Congress should, as a part of their investigation, check into this.
All agreed the objective is not to point fingers and declare guilty--it is to prevent another 3,000 American citizens from dying. Tossing money here and there is surface dressing on some things, but if the major pitfall is missed, we will see more screwups, more excuses, and more dying.
BTW, I never got the impression that Freeh hated computers--having observed him numerous years in hearings, he'd love nothing better than to have every single American on an FBI / Uncle Sam DataBase....anything to make their 'job' easier....whatever they decide their 'job' is.
As for the type of intel received, its highly unlikely that any of our agents are able to forward in such detail that any of the PTB can safely claim they weren't warned of a specific attack.
Congress will assure that their investigation is full of huff and puff so a fancy report can be written and then promptly shelved along with the zillions of others....mainly they will cover their arses as well as other bureaucratic agencies and the executive branch as well....precisely because of Clinton though the Senate may whine about Bush.
