I wouldn't go hunting cow, that would be illegal. But it would make me very nervous to try to kill a steer in a corral with a .22. But that's what my dad did...

"Another time their phone was knocked across the room and their outside box was blown across the yard, by a rogue strike." I heard that. Boy does that bring back memories. One summer I was at my aunt and uncle's house in Somerset, Kentucky. There was a terrible storm. My cousin Danny, 4 years older than me, was telling me all kinds of stories about when he used to sleep walk and one time getting caught out in a storm. In the midst of this conversation there was lightening strike that lit the telephone up in the front room. I have never heard anybody else tell a similar story. It sounds so bizarre I have occasionally wondered if I imagined it, but I know I didn't, and it left me with a very healthy respect for lightening, not to mention that to this day I will not talk on the phone during a storm. Yeah, I know it's a bad idea anyway, but I was hardheaded and had to learn things first hand.

B,
ut it would make me very nervous to try to kill a steer in a corral with a .22. But that's what my dad did... My Grandfather did the same. I think most country butchers did until federal regulations made small slaughterhouses impracticle.

OH! Speaking of storms Key Largo is on TCM
To: .38sw
Well I'm sure in a corral it would be dangerous .. they reason I laughed was because most of the cows that were a school were dairy cows and they just stood around eating grass all day

She is a wise woman. Cordless phones are safe, as long as you are not near the base unit.

Her: 'I've always been orally fixated, Jay.

I almost lost everything I own to lightning when it struck the house next door and it burned down and the fire was so hot it blistered the paint on my house and melted the blinds in the windows and singed the curtains, and all the windows on that side broke when the firemen sprayed water on it -- then the place filled with smoke.
