LOL - I've heard of remote control-lawnmowers but I didn't know they had four legs and intelligent eyes. That's the way to go!

Weatherbug for Tucson says 76* and winds at 7 MPH. Nice! Tomorrow you're going to be 80*, high. No wind warnings.

That 'Killer' is a sweetie....

Say, didnt they used to call Jerry Lee Lewis 'Killer', because he had such a bad temper....I remember one time, he got arrested, because during some rehearsal with his band, he did not like the way the drummer was drumming, so he shot him...did not kill him, but did wing him...

So, 'Killer' Lulu and 'Killer' Jerry Lee Lewis are kindred spirits...LOL..

These researchers have no shame, do they? The falcon cam is stuck at 1:24. I refreshed and still didn't move. What else can I do to cause it to go current?

I think maybe the second eagle egg is hatching...there seems to be a new piece of an eggshell on the nest now, a piece that wasnt there a while ago....perhaps the second baby is making its entrance...

Earlier I thought the egg looked a little misshapen, like it was being opened from inside. The first little feller is sure a lot bigger than the egg, isn't he? Fast growth for one day old!

Birds, when well fed, seem to grow extremely fast...whenever you watch nature films of baby birds, their mouths are always open, always wanting something to eat...the parents sure have their work cut out for them, dont they? Its an exhausting thing, having to fly around, catch and kill prey, eat enough for yourself, and then have to regurgitate it up for the young ones...

Wow...I just got back from the eagle cam....and what an exciting exchange I watched...the eagle that was out hunting, returned...both eagles were on the nest, one of them practically taking up the whole screen...what a magnificent sight...

Then one of them took off, and the other one was completely off the nest and I got to see it feeding the baby...how very sweet and exciting....also noticed that the other egg, is still in the nest, seemingly intact...so I guess what I saw before, must have been part of the old eggshell from the first baby....

Wow...I could watch these eagles all day....its better than any nature film, as we are watching it as it happens...sure wish that smudge or whatever it is, would disappear from the camera lens...oh well, cant have everything...

When they are in the egg, they are all curled up and when they first hatch they are all wet and soggy from the amniotic fluid in the egg....but now that the baby is eating well, and his down is drying out and fluffing up, he will look bigger and bigger, day by day....

Its kind of like when we human mommies have babies...you wonder how that babys big head fits through...I remember in one of the 'Look Whos Talking' movies, John Travolta is whining about how much Kirstie Alley was hollering when she was having her baby...she said, "Well, how do you think you would feel, if something the size of a watermelon tried to squeeze through a hole only big enough for an orange"(or words to that effect)...All Travolta could say was 'OUCH'...

And so it is, I would assume with birds...they are all squeezed up in that tiny egg, and when they peck out, and dry off, you wonder how in the world they fit in there...

Hi Palo!! Habs won 2-1 today!! A real fluke win, badly outshot by Boston 44-13, so its a sweet revenge for the goon tactics that caused habs to lose best player on Thursday. One more win and its onto the second round against Carolina.I was at the hotel last April near the arena in Raleigh where Carolina plays, and its where all the NHL teams stay and had breakfast with some Pittsburgh and Atlanta players.Boy, can they eat!!Who'd ever think that they'd be playing hockey in NC in May ;-)LOL
