Wow... if he doesn't want to live there, then he should sell it and live wherever he pleases. I don't know what the market is like in Austin, if something like is in demand or not.

We had another quake on Thursday...wondering if it made news in the US? Was in northern Chile, a 6.7 mag. and knocked down about 50 homes and damaged around 2,000. Felt it up here...was a swell one, lasted about 40-seconds.

The beautiful mansions here in Waco were bought by or donated to a drug rehab program and house "residents" getting treatment. It's a shame I think.

I just heard on Fox that when Tonya Harding was picked up for drunk driving the other night she had twice the legal limit blood alcohol content but she pled not guilty. She's not a real bright bulb is she?

oooh, I didn't hear about that quake in Chile. Sounds meaningful. There was a 5.1 quake in northern New York Saturday morning that was felt all over the Northeast -- that made the news.

"a 6.7 mag. and knocked down about 50 homes and damaged around 2,000." Wow..that's a good sized quake! I didn't hear anything about it but that doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't reported. How much longer are y'all gonna be down there?

Speaking of Carhart, I'm sitting here in my office with my Carhart hooded coat on. This is the draftiest building I've ever been in. I have duck tape on all the window frames in my office. South America is awful when it comes to building construction...no central heat here or my house. We have about 4 of those portable floor radiators that we drag around the house. They have never heard of insulation either.

Yeah, I posted that Tanya tidbit on the thread last night (I think) - that poor sweet girl is just persecuted by the mean old police. Her passenger wasn't hurt when she wrecked her pick-up, but how dumb do you have to be to ride with her? She's a disaster zone.
To: Cuttnhorse
With building construction like that, it's a wonder any houses are left standing in earthquake country.

Hi Sweet,
I don't know how much longer...I'm on a 5-year mine closure project, but I keep hearing rumors about another company mine construction project in norther Peru. I'm supposed to go there in a couple of weeks to check a couple of things. If I tell the sweet wife we're moving again...YIKES. The place we are living in now is probably the best overseas assignment in the world outside of home...the USA.

Northerners like to think white trash lives in the south - but Tanya and her ilk are over the northwest, too.

It's about time! I always thought the ICC should bite him in the butt. He wants to be emperor of the world. Ha ha ha ha ha!

They actually have some pretty tough earthquake codes for large buildings and they do pretty well. It's the small adobe houses that don't make it. I'm in a concrete block office building and I figure if it has made it for 15-years, it's probably safe. None of the doors or windows close properly, and there are cracks in all the walls and floors.

I had to laugh when I read about the former Boy President and that Arafat toady, little jimmy carter trying to weasle in the limelight. The have such excellent credentials.

Northerners like to think white trash lives in the south...Try taking a turn through some of the burbs in north Reno, Nevada.
To: Cuttnhorse
*L* If either of them had had any success the middle east wouldn't be in this situation today. They didn't have the ba!!s to send arafat straight to he!! and make it clear to the Arabs that their terror nonsense won't be tolerated by the civilized world.
To: Servant of the Nine
I thought you'd wimp out when you saw the part about darn near dislocating a shoulder...
To: Cuttnhorse
"The have such excellent credentials" Isn't that the truth? What a joke!
To: Cuttnhorse
Nope, we were too busy hearing about the 5.1 in upstate New Yawk...
