I took the kids out for hamburgers and when I got home I couldn't post on the thread at all - so I complained to swerve and then watched Trading Spaces on TLC and then tried again - and it worked! But nothing is going to help that house they are ruining on Trading Spaces. YUK - it is 1973 greens revisited, they just need shag carpeting...

Haven't watched Trading Places in some time....concept sort of interesting...and some of the do overs were ok, but I trust no one that much!

They liked the wall - no way would I like it - but they did. Amazing. The rooms looked really bad to begin with, so they couldn't really ruin them.
I love decorating and would never let someone else decorate my space.
okay -- maybe someone could do my office here if they cleaned it up, too. It's a disaster. I get the rest of the house looking spiffy, but this room.... I need another pair of tall bookcases. That would help. Yeah... that's my excuse. Not enough bookcases.

My ranch house was 2400 sq. ft. [5 bedroom, 3 bath] huge living room, huge kitchen & dining area, large mudroom and my office. Plus, I also had a half basement, not to mention out buildings.

Here I have 1000 sq. ft.....l bedroom, large living room, open office / dining, and kitchen, large bath, and a 'utility room' which, thankfully, has been convertable to a bedroom for my Dad. I also have out buildings--thankfully!!!

What a bear--not enough storage [is there ever?] -- lots and lots of windows and doors [leaves less and less wall space] -- I finally was able to get rid of the wall space heaters!!

Had I not had to pay large capital gains tax, I had intended to add a bedroom....as it is, those taxes contributed to the reasons I decided to get out of agriculture....might have felt a little different if someone from Uncle Sam would have, at least once, come out and said, 'Hey, Rowdee, why don't I pull a night shift of checking on lambing, so you can get a bit of shut-eye'....well, maybe that's a bad example--I'd have died of shock and the inheritance taxes would have wiped it all out for the heirs!!! :)
